He’s learning what’s it like to be a 2 year old dog. Although he’s timid, and lots of noise, bangs , clacks and vacuums scare him, he’s such a brave fellow. He’s facing his frights, learning each and every day to put one paw in front of the other and face those scary things! Jasper is a hoot. He is so fast. He runs like the wind, loves his toys, plays ball and sometimes retrieves, enjoys long walks, and is interested in everything. He’s working hard on his potty training. Jasper sleeps through the night in his kennel, and has a resounding tail wagging  cacophony of morning joy as he realizes another day of exploration and learning awaits him.  Jasper needs a home with a patient and caring family who will join him on this journey of a new life. He has found his voice. Shared walls may not be in his best interest. Jasper loves his people and can chill in a lap for quite a while. He likes to keep his people in his sight, and will follow them around the house, waiting for pets and attention. It takes him a while to be comfortable with other dogs, new people and strange new experiences, but each day builds more confidence. Best not to have him share a home with cats. He’s a sweet boy, with big heart, and eyes that will melt you. In his experiencing his new found adolescence, just know that socks, hats, papers, slippers,  gloves and other items within his reach may find new and interesting locations throughout the house! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Wisdom is a petite, somewhat standard poodle (she's not quite large enough) who came to the shelter as an owner surrender. She will be 2 years old in May and currently weighs 32 pounds. Wisdom is well mannered and intelligent. She is a little bit shy when she meets new people but blossoms into a fun loving young dog who bounces around exuberantly. Wisdom will be vet checked and spayed on Feb. 25 and her fee is $150. Wisdom is looking for a home with someone who is experienced with poodle type dogs and their grooming needs. She would like a home in which she's not left alone for long hours. She has had some basic training and is smart and receptive to more. Wisdom has done well with other dogs, kids, and cats. She will require regular exercise, too. Hendrix is a sweet, gentle 16&#226&#128&#145pound Poodle experiencing life in a home for the very first time after coming from a breeder—and he’s blossoming beautifully. During his first week, he was quiet and cautious, taking everything in. Now that he feels safe, his personality is shining through: curious, friendly, playful, and eager to explore. He loves going for walks (even in snow and ice!) and enjoys meeting adults, kids, and friendly dogs of all sizes. He has a high energy level and a puppy&#226&#128&#145like enthusiasm for the world, making him a great match for an active home. He especially enjoys tug games with ropes or rags and loves interacting with people and other dogs. He hasn’t fully discovered toys yet, but he’s starting to show interest. Hendrix is mostly paper trained and also goes potty outside. He’s still learning a consistent routine, but with three daily walks he’s doing well. He’s crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and knows “come” and “wait.” He’s intelligent, eager to please, and very adaptable as he learns what home life is all about. He does have one unique quirk—his right front leg was fractured at some point in his past and healed out of alignment. It doesn’t stop him from enjoying life, but he’s nervous about jumping down from furniture or going down stairs on his own. He’ll need a patient adopter who can help him build confidence and keep him safe. Hendrix is affectionate, even&#226&#128&#145tempered, gentle, and wonderfully sweet. He loves snuggling on the sofa, thrives on attention, and would do well in a home with children and other friendly dogs. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. Meet Butch! Butch is a beautiful 40 lb moyen poodle who recently retired from life with a breeder and is now ready to discover what it truly means to be someone’s beloved companion. He is a gentle, quiet boy who moves through the world calmly and thoughtfully. What he wants most is a peaceful, patient, and loving home where he can continue to blossom at his own pace. Butch is still shy with people, but he is making steady progress every day. He has no issues with other dogs and finds comfort in their presence. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys riding in the car, can manage stairs, and is learning new things with quiet determination. He prefers the comfort of being indoors but enjoys going outside as well. He likes his kennel and settles in nicely. In the evenings, he’ll softly come over while you’re watching TV and gently ask for a head scratch — the sweetest little sign that he’s learning to trust. Yep, that's me. I am a sweet, affectionate, goofy, mini poodle who loves and wants to please his people. When I wag my tail, my body shakes and it brings smiles and laughter to those around me. I enjoy toys, back rubs and cuddling. I'm usually a quiet, reserved guy who doesn’t cause trouble. Couches are great. I can be afraid of noises and new things but I am learning to understand and trust my world. I know the sit and come commands. This Minnesota weather has been a challenge for me and am looking forward to warmer weather. I would benefit from obedience training (I am still a puppy at heart). You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Daisy came to us on 10/4/2025 with her housemate Biscuit, after the death of their owner. The two girls could be related in some way as there were a lot of dogs in the home. Daisy kind of looks like a scruffy poodle/terrier type mix. She's approximately 3 years old and has now been fully vetted. She is part of a bonded pair with Biscuit and the fee for both of them is $250. We are truly hoping to adopt Daisy and Biscuit as a bonded pair as they have always been together and are attached to each other. They even reside in the same pen at our shelter. Both girls are pretty shy with new people, which is why it has taken us so long to get them up for adoption. They are playful and fun loving once they're comfortable with people. They will require patience and some basic training. They're looking for an adult only home. Teens are fine. They have had no exposure to cats.  FENCED YARD REQUIRED.
