Story
Linney's days as a breeding dog are over and she can't wait to become the diva she was meant to be! At just six years old and six pounds she is learning what it's like to be a family companion and has no trust issues. She is initially shy but does very well with men, women and kids (no toddlers please, because of her size). Linney has not been housetrained since her only job was to produce puppies, so we have to give her some slack in that area. She uses a peewee pad but often misses her mark. If she is to relieve herself outside she will require a small fenced area. She does not need much exercise and is perfectly fine as an indoor dog. Linney freezes while on a leash so that's another reason why a small fenced area will work best for her. Linney's ideal home is one where someone is home most of the day, a small fenced area if she is to be outside, and lots of patience. She is well worth it. We would like a home near the New Jersey shore. Linney is spayed, up to date with vaccines, and has had a full dental. If you think your family dynamic is a good match for Linney, please submit an application at www.pounddogfounddog.org. All applications and inquiries receive a response.

Story
Maxwell’s a 8yo 15lb poodle mix. He’s dog and kid friendly. He’s house and crate trained. He’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. He loves being next to his people and to get tons of cuddles, affection and attention. He has an amazing personality, is super chill and friendly has a tendency to wait for you to give attention but will come to you for it when in the mood. Maxwell’s foster requires a home where he gets tons of love, affection, cuddle time and a comfy bed along with giving him soft foods only since he has no teeth. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Maxwell as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Maxwell’s neutered, vaccinated, hw negative and microchipped. He had a dental with all teeth he had removed so needs to eat soft food only. Currently in Elkins Park, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Story
Meet Shaggy! Some cutie Christmas pics have been taken, and we can’t help but imagine this sweet boy once his crazy, fluffy fur grows back in—he’s going to be absolutely adorable!Shaggy is a 2-year-old, sweet little guy who weighs just 12 pounds and has a truly gentle soul. If you look closely at his shelter photos, you’ll see just how dirty and uncomfortable he was when he arrived—poor Shaggy was clearly not feeling his best. He had to be shaved down, and once that was done, you could immediately tell how much better he felt. Now settled into his foster home, Shaggy is comfortable, happy, and finally showing off his wonderful personality. He is doing perfectly with potty training, is a super calm snuggler, and has no fear of people, including men—everyone who meets him absolutely loves him. Shaggy enjoys staying close to his people and is always happy to curl up for cozy cuddle time. He appears to be house trained, does well spending time in his crate, and is good with other dogs, making him an easy addition to a multi-dog home.Unfortunately, Shaggy did test heartworm positive and has already started the first step of treatment. The good news is that BCAA will cover the remainder of his heartworm treatment with one of our trusted vets, so his future family can focus on loving him while he heals.Shaggy is ready for a fresh start and a home where he’ll never be uncomfortable again—only cherished. Apply at bcaaofnj.orgInterested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter.
