Meet Jelly! Jelly is a 2-year-old Mini Poodle mix weighing about 9 lbs and is being fostered in Mount Laurel, NJ. Jelly is a shy but energetic little guy who is still learning to trust people. He’s making progress every day and is beginning to accept pets, take treats from a hand, and relax near his foster. He needs a patient adopter who will give him time and space to adjust. Jelly loves other dogs and really gains confidence from having them around. Another dog is required in his new home, preferably a friendly female. He loves being outside, running around the yard, and doing zoomies, so a fenced yard is required. Jelly is active, playful, and definitely not a couch potato. This scared little lady came in as a stray and was never reclaimed so we don`t have any background info on her. It looks like at somehow, she ended up with pink dye in her hair. A little shave down will take care of that. She is scared here at the shelter but very much a snuggle bugs once she trusts you. Vera is a baby still and has a lot of puppy energy once she`s comfortable with you. She isn`t great walking on a leash but she`s learning. Like size dogs will probably be all she could tolerate as all the big dog barking is really scary her in the kennels. No small kids for her but older kids should be fine as long as they understand she`s scared and they will need to have patience with her. Star’s a 2yo 18lb Poodle mix. She’s dog (her size or larger) and kid friendly. She is house and crate trained. She’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. She loves toys, people especially to cuddle with. She has the best cheesy smile. She is high energy but is limited to ½ mile since she came to us with a back injury. Star’s foster requires an active home, people who will be aware and attentive of her back legs having some weakness along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Star as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Star came to Tiny Paws with what we think was a slipped disc. She has finished all her water therapy and her vet feels she is doing great, but needs to keep an eye on her not reinjuring her back. She does have weakness in her back legs but that may always be the case. She’s spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Maple Shade, NJ.
