Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Stop and say hello to Marley P! This super sweet doodle boy came to DASH when his owners health no longer allowed them to care for a puppy with his energy. He was found by the original owners tied to a pole on a country road when he was a very young puppy. They were determined that he not be abandoned again so into the rescue he came! He is still very much a puppy, loves to play fetch with his favorite balls and tries to get all the other doggies in his foster home to play as well. He is working on his crate training, he is not a fan and will whine and bark, so he is not crated regularly in his foster home. He walks well on a leash and is potty trained. He loves everyone he has met including the fosters grandkids who range in age from 6-9. He may not be great with really small kids just due to his enthusiasm and still learning what personal space is. He has also been around cats, and while he doesn't hurt them, he does think they want to play and so proper introductions would be best. He also loves to sleep in bed with his foster and needs to be touching his person. This boy is ready to find an active home who will take him on adventures and continue helping him be the best boy he can be and give him all the love and attention he so deserves. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Patrick! Some dogs let life define them. Patrick never got the memo. Born with a deformity in his front left leg, Patrick has spent his entire life proving that different doesn't mean limited. He runs, plays, explores, and keeps up with his canine friends without letting his disability slow him down. It's simply the way he was born—and to Patrick, it's no big deal. Patrick is a handsome 3-year-old Poodle with a gentle heart and a quiet spirit. He absolutely loves other dogs and lights up when he has a canine friend to play with or nap beside. Whether he's exploring the yard, enjoying the fresh air, or relaxing after a fun play session, Patrick finds joy in the simple things. Like many puppy mill survivors, Patrick is still learning that people can be trusted. While he may be shy at first, beneath that timid exterior is a sweet boy just waiting for someone to show him that the world can be a safe and loving place. With patience, kindness, and a little time, Patrick's personality continues to shine a little brighter every day. His front leg has never caused him pain, and while he occasionally uses it for balance when standing, he has adapted beautifully. Patrick doesn't see himself as different—and neither should you. His disability has never kept him from enjoying life, playing with his dog friends, or doing all the things dogs love to do. Patrick approaches house training the same way he approaches everything else—with determination. He continues to make great progress when kept on a consistent schedule and will thrive with a patient, understanding family committed to helping him continue his journey. Patrick's ideal home will have a securely fenced yard, another friendly dog (that loves to play) to help build his confidence, and a family that understands that trust is earned, not rushed. In return, you'll gain an incredibly resilient companion who reminds you every day that life's challenges don't define who we are. Patrick's adoption donation is $625. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on monthly heartworm prevention, as well as flea prevention. He has also had a dental cleaning. If you're looking for a dog who embodies resilience, quiet courage, and unconditional love, Patrick is ready to show you that sometimes the strongest hearts come in the smallest packages. ❤️ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  September 14, 2026, 11:48 am

Story
Rosie is a sweet, well-trained little dog who is very loyal and loves being close to her people. She is a great listener, knows her commands, and does wonderfully on walks—she stays close and is easy to handle. She has a loving personality and has been a wonderful part of our family. She will be 5 years old on November 18th, 2026. Unfortunately, we’ve come to realize that our home may no longer be the best fit for her. She can be a little unpredictable in certain situations with small children and needs a family who understands her personality and can give her the patience, structure, and attention she deserves. This is an incredibly difficult decision because we truly want what is best for her. We are hoping to find a loving, responsible home where she can continue to thrive and be the sweet companion we know she can be.

Story
Meet Pepper! Pepper is a sweet, 4.5-year-old Bernedoodle who is bonded to her friend, Cheddar. These two will need to find their forever home together. 💕 Pepper came from a difficult situation and was understandably very scared and shut down. She also arrived with a rough haircut, but recently had a visit with our groomer and got all fixed up! Pepper will need a patient adopter who is willing to give her time to decompress, build trust, and come out of her shell at her own pace. While she may be timid right now, we believe she has so much potential. With time, patience, and love, Pepper and Cheddar could truly blossom into wonderful companions. ❤️
