Opal – Professional Cuddler Seeking a Forever Lap ❤️ Meet Opal, an approximately 5-year-old Poodle mix whose favorite hobbies include snuggling, napping, and being as close to her people as possible. If you're looking for a sweet, quiet companion rather than a high-energy adventure buddy, Opal may be your perfect match! Opal is a gentle soul who enjoys the simple things in life: soft dog beds, cozy blankets, chew bones, and quality cuddle time. She gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats, making her an easy addition to many households. She is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate. One of Opal's most endearing features is her adorable crooked little smile. It only adds to her charm and perfectly matches her sweet, loving personality. She is already scheduled for a dental procedure on June 23rd to help keep her smile healthy and comfortable. Opal does best with a consistent routine and is happy to take care of her business outside when given regular potty breaks. She would love a home where she can enjoy plenty of affection, cozy naps, and quality time with her family. Opal is: ✔ Approximately 5 years old ✔ Spayed ✔ Microchipped ✔ Up to date on vaccines and preventatives ✔ Dog friendly ✔ Cat friendly ✔ Crate trained ✔ Scheduled for a dental procedure on June 23rd If you're searching for a loyal, loving companion who will happily keep your lap warm and your heart full, Opal is ready to meet you! Story
Meet Autumn! 🍂 Autumn is an 11-year-old Poodle mix and the definition of a true Golden Girl. At just 15 pounds, this sweet senior is looking for a loving home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by comfort, companionship, and all the love she deserves. Don't let her age fool you. Autumn still has plenty of life and spunk! She enjoys going for walks, keeping up with her people, and then settling in for what she does best: being the ultimate cuddle buddy. Whether you're binge-watching your favorite Netflix series or enjoying a quiet evening at home, Autumn is always happy to be right by your side. Autumn is wonderful with dogs, cats, and children, making her an easy addition to just about any family. She is crate trained, well-mannered, and knows how to be a respectful house guest. She does best when given regular potty breaks and will usually let you know when she needs to go outside. She prefers going outdoors and may have an accident if left too long without a potty break. This sweet girl was surrendered by her previous owner, and we would love nothing more than to see her find the forever family she deserves. A family that will spoil her with love, soft beds, belly rubs, and all the attention a girl could want. Autumn does have a history of pancreatitis, so she will need to remain on a low-fat diet and avoid table scraps and excessive treats. Thankfully, she is doing great, is healthy for her age, and is an excellent eater. If you're looking for a loyal companion, a professional snuggler, and a best friend who will love you unconditionally, Autumn may be the perfect match. Autumn is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on heartworm and flea prevention. Adoption Fee: $300 Local (Texas) | $550 Out of State (includes transport) Everyone who meets her falls in love. ❤️ If you think you could be Autumns best rest of her life go ahead and submit an adoption application now!

Story
Hi there! My name is Jess, and I'm a 7-year-old Miniature Poodle mix weighing in at about 30 pounds of fluffy companionship. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick who wants to be part of your daily routine, I might be your girl. I love going for walks, riding in the car, playing with my toys, and curling up next to my favorite people on the couch. I'm affectionate, playful, and definitely food motivated—treats are one of my favorite things! I have great house manners. I'm housetrained, crate trained, leash trained, and I walk nicely on a loose leash. I know commands like "sit," "speak," and "go to bed." In fact, every evening around 8 o'clock, I put myself to bed in my crate like clockwork. I also like to remind my family that it's time for my after-dinner potty break as soon as everyone finishes eating. I've lived with teenagers and would love a family with a similar lifestyle—people who enjoy spending time together, playing with me, and including me in their day. I don't need constant attention, but I do want to be part of the family. There are a few things you should know about me. I'm protective of my toys, my crate, and sometimes my treats, so I'll do best with a family that understands my boundaries and can help me continue being successful. I can be nervous around other dogs, and while I'm friendly with cats, I can't always resist chasing one if it decides to run. I'm healthy, active, and can easily handle stairs on my own. My family loves me very much, but they're moving out of state and aren't able to take me with them. They're hoping to find me another loving home where I can continue being the devoted companion I've always been. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal friend who will happily join you for walks, keep you company on the couch, and tuck herself into bed every night, I would love to meet you.

Story
Meet Kelsey! Kelsey is 10 years old but has the energy and playfulness of a puppy! Kelsey LOVES toys and he flips them up in the air, catches them and then shakes them like crazy. He is just so cute! He is about 10lbs and is good with all people, other dogs and cats. Kelsey has a dental cleaning scheduled for October 25th so we are seeking a foster to adopt for darling Kelsey. Kelsey has limited vision due to age, but he gets around no problem. Kelsey is current on all vaccines, neutered, microchipped and his blood panel came back with all normal values. Interested in Kelsey? Please email stmartinsanimalrescue@hotmail.com and ask for an application. 🐶🩵🐶

Meet Cane Male DOB: May 7, 2026 Weight: 5 lbs (current — still growing) Breed: Poodle / Terrier Mix Expected Size: Small breed (small to medium when fully grown) Neutered (Fixed): Pending (age-appropriate) Vaccines: In Progress (puppy vaccines up to age schedule) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Cane is a sweet, cuddly little puppy with a calm and easygoing personality. While many puppies are constantly on the move, Cane has a more relaxed approach to life and enjoys spending time close to his people. He loves affection, enjoys being held, and is happiest when he feels safe, comfortable, and included. At this young age, Cane is still learning about the world around him. He is curious and playful but tends to approach new experiences with a gentle, thoughtful attitude. His loving nature and relaxed temperament make him a wonderful companion for families looking for a puppy with a softer personality. As a Poodle / Terrier mix, Cane is expected to grow into an intelligent, affectionate, and loyal companion. This mix often produces dogs that are eager to learn, highly people-oriented, and adaptable to many different lifestyles. Early socialization, positive reinforcement, and consistent guidance will help him develop into a confident and well-mannered adult dog. Cane would thrive in a home prepared for: Ongoing puppy training and supervision Daily playtime, exercise, and enrichment Positive socialization experiences Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to his emotional and physical well-being He is still in the earliest stage of life and will need a family committed to helping him navigate puppyhood with patience, love, and guidance. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like most rescue puppies, Cane may not have had early structure, exposure, or training before entering care. Puppies at this age require supervision, patience, and consistent guidance as they learn basic life skills. Adopters should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, accidents, teething, learning routines, and exploring their environment. These are all part of healthy puppy development. Cane will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Patience, consistency, and supervision Gentle guidance during development Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn routine 3 months to feel fully at home With stability, patience, and love, Cane will grow into a confident and devoted companion. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, routine veterinary care, and emotional responsibility. Cane will need: Routine vet visits and vaccine boosters Preventative care (fleas, ticks, parasites) Proper nutrition for healthy growth Daily exercise and enrichment Safe indoor living environment Ongoing training and socialization Because he is very young, consistency and structure are essential for healthy development and confidence building. Cane is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
