Story
***PEANUT IS LOCATED IN A FOSTER HOME IN ROCKAWAY, NJ - Now that she arrived to the NE, an approved applicant would have to be willing to drive to meet/pick up Peanut from that area**** Peanut is a 2-year-old female that weighs 19.20 lbs – Her brother Butter was adopted and living his best life already 😊 These fantastic furbabies were found running in and out of traffic on a busy road when they were seen by a good Samaritan. It took over an hour, and lots of dodging traffic to finally encourage these 2 into their vehicle. We do not know how they were not run over, but we are so glad they gave in to going to safety! With that being said, we know they do enjoy car rides and loading up in the vehicle! While we do not know what their exact breeds are, they do not shed, therefore we do believe they can be considered hypoallergenic. Based on looks – We think they could be a mix of schnauzer, poodle, Lhasa apso, shih tzu and Tibetan Terrier, but who knows?! They are cute for sure! Peanut and Butter are not bonded, but they do get along wonderfully. They are fostered with other doggies, and they get along with all the dogs they meet, big and small, young and old. They would do great with other dogs in the home or with no dogs in the home. While they have not actively been introduced to cats recently, we believe based on their personalities they would do great with cats. They have no aggressive behaviors and are really just some of the most easy-going doggies. Peanut and Butter are more relaxed dogs – they enjoy lounging around the backyard and around the patio. Peanut is a little shyer than Butter, she does take a little bit of time to come around. The foster believes both would do great with children, but Peanut would be best with older, more well-behaved children who understand patience and kindness with a dog. Butter is more outgoing and would be better with all age children. They are crate trained and house trained. Both dogs would do best in a home that is more low key to medium active as they are not very hyperactive dogs and just like to hang out. They would do great with walks around the neighborhood or just a backyard to hang out in. Even car rides around just to get out of the house and see the views 😊 Peanut and Butter are wonderful furbabies who deserve a family or families that will love them and not let them run the streets and dodge cars that they don’t understand will end their lives. Peanut is spayed, heart worm negative, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, current on dewormer, current on age-appropriate vaccinations (parvo/distemper, bordatella and rabies vaccine) and microchipped. She will receive clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Adam Wiggleton!UPDATE from ADAM's FOSTER MOM:  Meet Adam, my ridiculously energetic foster dog who's always game for a walk or hike, loves kids, dogs, and protecting his bird feeder from those pesky squirrels, while simultaneously being a deer-watching enthusiast, sunbathing pro, and if going for ice cream he's ready to go with his other furry siblings..oh, and he's trained to ask politely to go out, this scruffy guy is now looking for his forever home!! Santa didn't bring me a home for Christmas - but I'm hoping for my very own home in the New Year. Breed? Your guess is as good as ours — let’s just call him a “Certified Scruff Mix.” At about two years old, this handsome fellow is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to wiggle right into your heart. Adam was found starving as a stray (we suspect he was abandoned), but he hasn’t let his past dim his spirit. He’s now thriving — full of joy, personality, and just the right amount of mischief.  If his demeanor doesn't suck you right in--his soulful eyes certainly will. He’s a total social butterfly: adores kids, adults, and every dog he’s met. He currently shares his home with two canine buddies and we are looking for a home for him with another friendly companion as he loves, loves, loves to play.  Adam is an outdoorsy guy who loves hiking, zooming around with friends, and attending local baseball games with his foster mom — he’s practically the team’s unofficial mascot! &#226&#154&#190 His only “flaw”? He’s a professional countersurfer. We blame his rough start in life… but he’s quick, clever, and very proud of his title. Adam is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention and is being lovingly fostered in the Selinsgrove area. If you’re looking for a loyal, funny, adventure-loving companion (with a PhD in snack detection), Adam Wiggleton is your guy! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rudy Joe Rudy Joe is a 3-year-old red miniature poodle who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be. Raised in a breeding facility, Rudy arrived to us matted and bedraggled, unsure of the world beyond his small kennel. But after a warm bath, a fresh groom, and lots of gentle love, his sweet personality truly came alive. Now Rudy is all about the good life! He loves cuddling in bed with his foster mom and her three canine companions—both big and small. He also lives peacefully with a cat and is doing very well with housetraining. Rudy Joe has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines (with one booster scheduled in two weeks), and is on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He is currently being lovingly fostered in the Northumberland, PA community, where he continues to blossom more every day. Rudy Joe is ready for a home where he can keep learning what it means to be cherished—snuggles included. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Crystal Belle started her life on April 3, 2024, and spent her first 18 months living in a breeding situation with little socialization or human interaction.  Thankfully, she was never bred because after coming into rescue it was discovered that she had a serious heart murmur.  She has now received the medical intervention that saved her life and she is 100% good to go! Warning:  This is a puppy and as such is just full of her self.  She is a great walker and will go for as long and as far as you are willing.  She uses a doggie door and is treat motivated!  Crystal Belle is a wonderful traveler, bed-buddy extraordinaire, lover of reality TV, and toy connoisseur.  She has frisky attacks that have her running full speed indoors and outdoors, with or without another dog.  She is an easy going lass that gets along with other dogs, cats and kids.  A tad shy when first meeting new people, she quickly warms up.  Despite a less than stellar beginning, she is just the sweetest little girl around. A seventeen pound, apricot, miniature poodle, with the tight curls to prove it, Crystal Belle will need regular grooming appointments to keep her comfortable.  She has a cute little brown “beauty-mark” spot on her side. Some fun facts about this little mischief maker:   She likes to “help” do laundry.  Clean or dirty, she happily grabs a piece and trots off with it, never doing any damage, just proud to be doing her chores.  She also enjoys shredding paper and folders eliminating the need for a paper shredder :). Finally she will leap three feet in the air because she is just so darn happy to see her person. Spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on heartworm/flea/tick meds, and given a clean bill of health, this little lady is ready to go home.  If you would like to be considered, please apply today at Haven to Home Canine Rescue.  Someone is going to be very lucky to be chosen for Crystal Belle’s forever home!  She is being lovingly fostered in Northumberland, PA. 17857Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
Louie wants nothing but love and cuddles! This miniature poodle about 2 years old and 12lbs (but really needs to put on some pounds) is as sweet as pie. Louie came from another local shelter where he was found as a stray severely matted. He has since been shaved down, neutered, and vaccinated. Louie is open to meeting other docile dogs and would do fine in a home with respectful children, as he is very calm. He can be cat tested but am sure he would do just fine.
