Story
Meet Waffle Almost 2 years old-Cavapoo Waffle came to us from a breeding situation, and despite everything she’s been through, she has remained nothing but soft, loving, and full of quiet sweetness. She’s the kind of dog who looks up at you with big, hopeful eyes, just wanting warmth, safety, and someone who sees her for who she truly is.Waffle does have a heart condition called Subaortic Stenosis (SAS), and her case is on the more severe side. This means there is a significant narrowing just below one of her main heart valves, causing her heart to work much harder to move blood throughout her body.Because of this, Waffle will need:- Lifelong monitoring- Regular veterinary care (possibly including a cardiologist)- Potential long-term medication- A family willing to give her that extra layer of careDogs with more severe SAS can still live loving, joyful lives but they do need someone committed to keeping them comfortable, safe, and supported. And Waffle? She’s worth every bit of it.She is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly soulful. She loves cuddles, soft sweaters, slow walks in the sunshine, and simply being close to the people she trusts. Her diagnosis doesn’t take away who she is,it just means she needs a home prepared to love her a little more intentionally. If you have room in your heart for a dog who will love you with her whole being, and you’re able to support her medical needs, Waffle could be your girl. She’s waiting for that special family who won’t see limitations, just love.

Milo would thrive best in an adult-only household that provides a very structured environment. Leader of the Pack is offering a six-week training course to help him adjust and succeed in his forever home. Please note that he has a high prey drive, so he cannot be placed in a home with children or other animals. Additionally, you must live within an hour of the rescue to adopt him. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Adam Wiggleton! Breed? Your guess is as good as ours — let’s just call him a “Certified Scruff Mix.” At about two years old, this handsome fellow is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to wiggle right into your heart. Adam was found starving as a stray (we suspect he was abandoned), but he hasn’t let his past dim his spirit. He’s now thriving — full of joy, personality, and just the right amount of mischief.  If his demeanor doesn't suck you right in--his soulful eyes certainly will. He’s a total social butterfly: adores kids, adults, and every dog he’s met. He currently shares his home with two canine buddies and would love to have a playful dog friend in his forever home. Adam is an outdoorsy guy who loves hiking, zooming around with friends, and attending local baseball games with his foster mom — he’s practically the team’s unofficial mascot! &#226&#154&#190 His only “flaw”? He’s a professional countersurfer. We blame his rough start in life… but he’s quick, clever, and very proud of his title. Adam is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention and is being lovingly fostered in the Selinsgrove area. If you’re looking for a loyal, funny, adventure-loving companion (with a PhD in snack detection), Adam Wiggleton is your guy! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. Story
Kash Monee Mernar is ready to find his forever!!! This adorable one year-old Cockapoo is truly a miracle 🙌 He was hit by a car in late August and he sustained multiple pelvic fractures. Zoe’s House took responsibility for his care and he was rushed to Penn Veterinary Hospital where emergency surgery was performed. His tail was severely displaced and had to be amputated but that just means his whole body wags when he is happy to see his person 🥰 Kash has spent the last two months rehabbing at Penn and in his foster home. Remarkably, he has good use of both rear legs. Kash is running and playing with his foster fur siblings! He is fully house trained although regression in a new home is common. He lounges in a playpen when his foster mom must leave during the day. At night, he has been sleeping in a bassinet of sorts right by foster mom‘s bed (yes this boy has been spoiled🤭) although he loves to lie on the bed to hang out and watch TV. He is still gaining strength in his left rear leg and his balance can be off at times, but he is growing stronger every day. For this reason, only children 12+ will be considered in his forever home. Kash is neutered and is up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives. He walks well on a leash and travels beautifully in the car. His forever family could have a young playful dog, or he could be your one and only. Most important is that his forever family have plenty of time to shower him with love and attention which he absolutely deserves. This boy’s favorite place is your lap❤️ Kash is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County and his new family should be prepared to travel there for the adoption. A home visit and meet and greet with all family members is part of the process. Kash Monee MERNAR was named after the late Linda Mernar who was a beloved supporter of Zoe’s House. We know she will be Kash’s forever guardian angel 🪽 If you think you can provide this sweet boy with his best home, then apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com. Story
💕Meet Vienna!!!💕 This sweet little mini poodle is just 3 months old. She was surrender due to having a small umbilical hernia, which can be addressed when she gets spayed. Vienna is a typical puppy. She is adventurous, playful and a love bug. She has a blast playing with the dogs and cat in her foster home. She loves toys of every shape and size but she really enjoys chewing on her bene bones. She is super smart and learned how to go up and down stairs at just 3 lbs on her first day in her foster home. She has also learned that she is small enough to sneak through the baby gates to get to her foster mom if she leaves the room. She’s a little stinker. 😂 She absolutely loves running around outside, playing in the leaves and chasing the other dogs around. Vienna loves all people, she recently attended a Matt Rife comedy show and had a blast schmoozing everyone. 🤩 Vienna isn’t a big fan of the crate or playpen, she will bark and cry to be let out. She has also figured out how to escape the playpen… total stinker and super smart. Vienna has been doing great with potty training, she still does have an accident here and there but has been following the other dogs lead and catching on quickly. She is UTD on age appropriate vaccines and on preventatives. Due to her young age she is not spayed yet and will be adopted out on a spay contract that comes with an additional fee on top of the adoption fee. This additional fee is 100% refundable when the spay contract is followed. Due to her breed she will need to be brushed regularly and properly groomed about every 4-6 weeks. 🐾If you think this little ball of fluff would make the perfect addition to your family apply today!!!🐾 www.zoeshouserescue.com Vienna is being foster in Berks County and all potential adopters will need to come to this area for a meet and greet with any current residential dogs. Story
Shorty is a 4-year-old, 18 lb. poodle mix who was transferred from another area shelter—and he’s the total package. Friendly, affectionate, and wonderfully well-adjusted, Shorty is one of those dogs who just makes life better by being in it. He’s an all-around nice guy who loves belly rubs, cuddling, and going for walks, and he’ll happily trot along beside you like the little gentleman he is. As a poodle mix, he will need regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. Shorty is open to meeting other dogs, can be cat tested, and would do great with kids, making him an easy and lovable addition to many homes. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion with a big smile and a jolly temperament, Shorty is ready to be your new best friend. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info.
