Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Judy is looking for a forever home with a homebody. She enjoys human companionship and wants to be with her people. She is an intelligent, affectionate, and playful 2 year old, 25 pound, poodle sheepdog mix who has a knack for making everyone in the house feel special, though she’s a bit of a mama’s girl with her doster mom. She adores belly rubs and thrives on close connections, always eager to be part of the family. Judy is house-trained, crate-trained, and loves structure, making her an easy companion. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is working on understanding the cats—her curiosity sometimes leads to a bark or two, but she’s easily redirected. This sweet girl will need daily exercise to channel her energy and frequent brushing to keep her coat looking its best. Routine grooming every 6-8 weeks is absolutely essential to maintain her health and coat. Judy can occasionally be protective of her favorite person but shows her loyalty with warmth and love. If you’re ready for a devoted, playful companion who thrives on attention and activity, Judy is your girl!  Judy is spayed, microchipped, UTD with vaccines and on monthly fleas/tick/heartworm prevention.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sandy is a 7-year-old Sheepadoodle with a heart as big as her fluffy paws. She is, without a doubt, one of the sweetest dogs her foster mom has ever met. Sandy adores being close to her favorite humans, always seeking out pets, snuggles, and companionship throughout the day and evening. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has shown no prey drive, making her a great candidate for a home with a feline friend. As a retired breeder, Sandy is experiencing home life for the first time, and she’s adjusting beautifully—though she can still be a little shy with new experiences. She’s working diligently on her house-training skills and would thrive with a patient family committed to helping her succeed. When Sandy arrived at Haven to Home, she was severely matted and needed a drastic groom for her comfort and health. Once her coat grows back, she’ll be absolutely adorable! Regular grooming will be essential to keep her looking and feeling her best. This gentle girl is a dream on a leash, walking right by your side and looking to her handler for guidance. Sandy is scheduled to be spayed in early February and will be ready for her forever home by February 12th. If you're searching for a loving, affectionate companion, Sandy might be the perfect match for you!Sandy is up to date with vaccines, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  She is being fostered near Sunbury, PA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 1/20/25 New pictures of Polar! His hair is growing out and he’s doing well! We would like to see Polar and Scotch adopted together, Polar is very reliant on Scotch. You can see Scotch here https://www.adoptastrayrescue.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=2114399012/18/24 Polar is an adorable little poodle mix who was found running the streets along with his friend, Scotch. Polar's coat was so matted, we couldn't even find his skin to vaccinate him. We had him groomed and we were pleasantly surprised to see how cute he is! Polar is a small guy, about 18 lbs. We are unsure of his exact breed but feel pretty sure he is some sort of 'doodle.' He is a young guy, maybe a year old. He is great with everyone- adults, kids, cats, and dogs. He's a friendly, outgoing guy who just needs a home of his own. He is crate trained and house trained. He previously was marking in the house but he’s been neutered and this behavior has stopped.  He is fully vetted and heartworm negative! Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.
