Story
Meet Kimberly! The sweet and snuggly poodle looking for her forever home. Kimberly is a nine-year old poodle with the softest curls and the sweetest eyes you’ll ever see. She was part of a breeder surrender and now she’s ready to enjoy the good life as someone’s cherished companion. This little lady is friendly and gentle, though she can be shy when meeting new people. She thrives with slow introductions and a calm environment. Kimberly is not suite for homes with children as she is very timid around them, but she’s a true gem with adults one she feels safe. Her favorite pastime is playing with her beloved scrunchy “shaker” toy and then curling up in bed for snuggles. She’s not a fan of crates, likely due to her past, but she’s very happy to hang out freely with her humans. She is not destructive when alone. Kimberly does well with dogs of all sizes as long as they are calm, and would love a canine friend to help her feel secure. She’s nearly housetrained, using potty-pads reliably. She’s up to date on vaccinations and recently had a dental and is spayed. If you have a gentle heart, a quiet home, and the patience to let Kimberly blossom at her own pace, she’ll reward you with unconditional love, sweet companionship, and plenty of tail wags. Story
Meet Hayes ??Hayes is a 2.5-year-old male mini poodle mix with a soft heart and a gentle spirit. He came to us as a breeder surrender and, understandably, was very unsure of humans at first—crouching when approached and running away from hands that just wanted to pet him. Despite that, he has always been wonderful with other dogs and bonded immediately with his two doggy foster brothers. In just a few short weeks, Hayes has made incredible progress. While he’s still shy and cautious, he now comes when I hold out my hand and shows his silly, playful side once he feels safe and has time to be himself. He truly blossoms when he’s allowed to move at his own pace. He also gets along with children.Hayes is still working on potty training. We’ve made some progress, though the frigid temperatures haven’t helped—he is not a fan of the cold (but absolutely loves his sweater!). He’s also not very food-motivated and was initially uninterested in treats altogether, but he’s slowly learning to enjoy both treats and mealtimes and will now gently take treats from my hand.At night, Hayes transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug. He loves snuggling up with his humans, is an excellent bed sleeper, has no nighttime accidents, and will happily stay in bed for 10+ hours if you let him. He enjoys being petted so much that when you stop, he’ll softly nudge you for more—his quiet way of asking for love.Hayes is looking for a patient, kind home that understands he’s still learning that humans are safe and good. He may be slow to warm up, but once he does, his affection is incredibly special. With time, consistency, and a gentle heart, Hayes will reward his person with deep trust and quiet devotion. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
This resilient boy has a gentle spirit and Meet Uno, an 11-year-old ray of sunshine and beloved resident of the sanctuary. Rescued after spending over a year wandering alone along railroad tracks, Uno arrived with a severely matted coat and eyes scarred from prolonged exposure to the elements. He takes medications and Vitamin Supplements to help his eyes. Despite his rough past, Uno's spirit shines bright. He’s an incredibly happy boy who radiates love and joy to everyone he meets. His gentle heart, wagging tail, and ever-present smile remind us daily of the resilience of animals and the healing power of compassion. Uno truly lives up to his name—he’s one of a kind. So much love to give.
