Story
Who’s the cutest curly-headed canine at SNIPSA? Well, it’s going to be Brennan… Once all his hair grows back! When Brennan was rescued, he resembled more of a tumbleweed than a dog. When pups with longer hair don’t get groomed on a regular basis, their coat can turn into a real mess, and that was the case with this poor boy. Now, he is feeling better than he has in a looong time, and he is ready to share all the good vibes with his new family! Brennan is a chillaxed guy with a funny, friendly personality. We don’t know too much about him yet, but he appears very well-mannered: he is quiet in his crate, keeps his space clean, and isn’t overly excitable. He loves any opportunity to go outside where he can catch all the best smells and feel the grass on his toesies. He also appreciates all forms of affection, from pets to hugs to snuggles on the couch! Brennan seems like a good candidate for a home with other pets, given a proper introduction. If you’re seeking a companion who is a great size, who has an easygoing temperament, and who won’t leave hair all over your clothes, apply to meet Brennan today!

Story
Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/       This friendly girl is Teacup! Teacup is a 1 year old, low shedding 30 pound dog whose playful, sweet nature wins over everyone she meets. She loves other dogs & has a way of making even the grumpy older dogs in her foster home want to play. She absolutely lives for attention from people and will often come up & put her paw on your knee asking for pets. Her meeting with a neighborhood kitty was entirely uneventful so she would probably do just fine in a home with cats, though she might try to play with them! Teacup’s had a rough start to life. She came from a bad hoarding situation and it quickly became apparent when she came to us that her back legs weren’t able to flex correctly. We took her to our vet & x-rays showed her knees had developed abnormally, and while she has some use of her back legs, it was recommended that she use a wheelchair to reduce wear & tear on her bad knees. So we built her one! She’s doing a great job of learning to use her new wheelchair – we call it the “Tea Cart” and she happily comes over & puts her head through the harness when we ask “do you want to go in your Tea Cart?” We’ve currently working on navigating rocky terrain, slopes, and obstacles with her new wheels and she’s learning fast! She’s quite happy to learn new things when there’s lots of praise & hot dogs as rewards. She gets more comfortable with using her chair every day & she’s not shy about telling you when she’s tired and ready to get out! Teacup is gentle when she plays & has lived with dogs of all sizes in her foster home, but due to her bad knees she needs companions who won’t play too rough with her. Teacup is house trained & requires frequent brushing due to her long, soft, low shedding coat. She should be kept on a joint supplement for life. Her Tea Cart of course comes with her, and her foster will send along the measurements & parts list in case something wears out & needs to be replaced.   You can follow along with Teacup in her foster home on her Facebook page here! https://www.facebook.com/share/1BRvxpjeGy/   Teacup is not hypoallergenic. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more). You must be committed to age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $300. This includes her wheelchair, spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal Plus, IDEXX SNAP 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references, and criminal histories. Additional questions may be directed to sagdinfo@gmail.com. ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process. Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ **  - IMPORTANT INFORMATION -   SASPCA Homeward Bound Dog Rescue and San Antonio Great Dane Rescue are 501(c)(3) foster-based rescue groups based in San Antonio, Texas.    Our group focuses on assisting open admission shelters in South Texas where over 32,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year.   Our puppies and dogs are completely vetted and live in foster homes. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!! Sasha is an overweight poodle at 21 pounds and she should be more like 15 pounds.  She could really use an owner to help her lose weight and feel loved again.  She is 6 years old so no need to potty trained this young veteran.  Sasha came to me with another dog after their owner suddenly passed away from health problems.  She is dog and people friendly, walks well on the leash and rides in the car without getting sick.  Her companion was an overweight male chihuahua mix and they had been together a long time.  He has been placed already and now Sasha would love to be in a stable home.   If you are interested in adopting Sasha please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         November 7, 2024, 5:10 am

Story
Seeking a perfect match for my Jojo. She is a loving and loyal companion I adopted four years ago. She is the definition of a lap dog & a protector! I was told by her deceased owner’s family that she was of a hypoallergenic breed mix and she’s not! While she has brought immense joy, my severe allergies are making it impossible to give her the best life as I want to start a family. Jojo loves affection and companionship and would thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention. She has had some training but would benefit from further leash work and consistency. She’s pee pad & doggy door trained- long work hours & moving 3x in 4 yrs have made training difficult. She wants to be loved on with hugs, kisses and cuddles. She just turned 10 and is up-to-date on her meds, treatment, and dental work. She is a very healthy, sassy dog! Apartment living is not suitable- we tried it! Lol If you think you might be that home, please reach out for more information. I pray she’s a match!
