Story
Rusty is 10 years old and I have had him since he was 10 weeks old. I bought him from a puppy shop called Dreamy Puppy and later learned that they were selling puppy mill puppies. I am looking to re-home Rusty with someone who is home most of the day, has time and energy for walks and playing fetch. He can be temperamental so you have to have patience. He is not crate trained and has always had free range of the house. He loves belly rubs , but can be moody. He loves to play fetch and go for walks. He does not like to walk in the rain. He does not mind other dogs as long as they are mild mannered. He does tend to be territorial when my daughter brings her dog over. I love him but would never forgive myself if he bit my grandbaby.

Story
You may remember these two cuties came in as strays who were severely matted and shut down. Due to how severely matted they were, they had to be sedated by the clinic staff and shaved down(seen in the last pictures.) They are feeling 100% better and now are showing their energetic playful side! Matting can cause EXTREME discomfort to pets and it is our responsibility as humans to make sure we are brushing and grooming them as they need! So keep in mind, while yes they are cute, they will require multiple grooming appointments yearly. Please take this in to consideration before applying! Brennan can be adopted out as a pair with his brother Dale or separately as they don't mind being apart. Brennan can be a bit more shy but is sweet once he is comfortable. They are dog friendly but may be a lot for other dogs as they have not been taught manners and are FULL of enthusiasm! We do require a dog test before adoption if there are other dogs in the home. We are unsure of them and cats but recommend slow introductions. They seem to be okay with kids but we'd love for them to come to the meet and greet. We have them estimated to be about 2-3 years old. They are both neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and 4DX tested. If you are interested in our boys, please apply on our website. Once we receive your application, we will give you a call to set up a meet and greet!Interested in adopting? PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion.  Please note these are not pedigree animals and we have no way of attesting if any of them are hypoallergenic and as such cannot adopt to homes with allergies. ##2369611##
