Story
Alexandra is an adorable doodle mix whose world was turned upside down when she was surrendered to a shelter in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We don’t know why she lost her home, but we do know she deserves another chance. This sweet girl is everything you’d hope for in a companion. She’s playful, friendly, social, and loves both kids and other dogs. As with many doodle and poodle mixes, we’d recommend a slow, supervised introduction to cats and other small pets. Alexandra is estimated to be 1 to 2 years old and weighs about 20 pounds. She is scheduled to arrive in Virginia in early August, so now is the perfect time to apply if you’d like to meet her! Her current kennel mate is Frank, an adorable one eyed pug, and just next door is Momma Carlota, watching and waiting. We were fortunate enough to find loving homes for all of Carlota’s puppies back in February, but sweet Carlota is still waiting for her own chance. There are so many wonderful dogs like Alexandra who are simply waiting for someone to say “yes.” Every adoption opens a space for another deserving dog to be rescued from an overcrowded shelter. Please help us get these amazing dogs out of the shelter in Puerto Rico by sharing Alexandra’s story. We hope she’ll be the first to find her forever family, and with your help, she just might be. 1 to 2 years old Approximately 20 pounds Friendly and social Great with kids Loves other dogs Arriving in Virginia in early August Apply today and give Alexandra the fresh start she’s been waiting for. ❤️ Dog Adoption Application https://caribbeanpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=7208Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Riddler is quickly learning the benefits of living in a home. He comes further out of his shell everyday. In a week’s time he has progressed from nervous in his crate to joining his foster family on the couch to snuggle, chew on a stuff toy, or just sleeping through a movie. He is quiet by nature ~ is comfortable riding in the car ~ knows the crate is his safe space and spends time in it even with the door open. ~ is not a fan of the leash but enjoys spending time outside. He follows his foster parents around the yard and when they stop to look at the garden he patiently sits next to them waiting to see where they go next. ~ enjoys finding a nice place to lay to enjoy the sun. - dog friendly Riddler can still be startled by loud noises and skittish at times. He is very intelligent and his personality is evolving as his confidence builds. He continues to work on his leash skills and house manners showing progress every day.
