Story
This handsome fella is Biscuit! He came to us at no fault of his own and is looking for his forever home! Biscuit is said to do well with just about everyone and every dog. The only history we don`t have is with cats or other small furry critters. Additionally, his breed is one that typically does not shed much so he will require regular grooming to make sure he does not get matted. If you have any questions about Biscuit please find a kennel technician!

Story
Me me me me meeeeeee!!!!!! What? Oh. My foster mom says that is NOT how to spell my name. It is spelled “MiMi" which sounds the same but who cares how it is spelled. I am a vintage model of a little poodle and I was a much loved member of the family at one time. Not to say that I am spoiled or anything but I know what I want when I want it! So it really is all about me! I adore being around my people and love being held. I will make little whimpering noises if you are there and I think I haven’t had enough lap time and look at you with my puppy dog eyes so that you feel guilty and pick me up where I want to be. I am a healthy 14 year old poodle who is scheduled for spay and teeth cleaning on Jan. 5th and then will be able to go to my new home after that. I use a potty pad when I am sleeping on the floor, but my foster mom puts a diaper on me when I sleep on your bed because I am not too keen about jumping off the bed. So when I have to potty, if I am on the bed, sometimes I will potty the bed. But the diaper takes care of that. I am a whopping 10 pounds and do walk pretty well of a leash as long as you don’t walk too fast. I am housebroken if you take me out on a schedule. Adoption fee in Texas is $200 Out of State fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $450.

Story
Elliana They gave me a fancy name at last! Can you believe it? I have been used as a breeder dog for years and years and then dumped at the local pound with a mammary gland tumor that you could play tennis with!! Who does that!!! At least that is what my foster mom thinks my life has been like. I sat there in a cage at animal control for 4 weeks before anyone would think about pulling me out of there but my foster mom said that she had to take me home so that I would have a chance to be a beloved pet before I die. Not that I am planning to do that anytime soon, but you never know. Anyhow, I went to the vet right away and had that big nasty thing taken off my stomach and the vets knew right away what it was and what it was from. They took out the baby making bits as well, so I won’t have to go through having my babies and then losing them right away to being just a baby and money making factory for somebody. Sheesh….get a job!! I have some issues, I won’t lie, but I am starting to kind of get used to being out of a cage, where I learned to circle around and around as there wasn’t a lot of space in those things. I can walk in a straight line and the more I get time outside, the more I am enjoying the fresh air and smells in the grass. I will revert to circles when I am nervous but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have only had freedom for a couple of months now. I don’t have many teeth, as the ones I did have were rotted and broken from trying to eat the bars I suppose. I startle easily from the lack of being held and loved in my former life, and will try to “gum” you if I pick me up too quickly. But speaking to me and touching me before you pick me up will let me know you are there and going to be gentle with me. I am still getting used to the being held part, and sometimes can’t tolerate it very long, but I am learning and going slow is really helpful to me. I am learning what good food tastes like, and what a soft bed feels like, and while I have pretty limited vision to see things, I can follow my nose and it helps me to find everything I need to get around. Foster mom leaves me a puppy pad to potty on in the house if I have to go at night, and I am pretty good at using it. It took a while to figure out that is what it was for, but also, if I potty outside after meals, I am good if I keep to a schedule. So that is my story. If you are interested in giving a blind old lady a soft landing for the rest of my life, let me know. Local adoption in Texas only please.

Story
Meet Benji Benji is a resilient, tender-hearted Cavapoo whose gentle spirit shines despite a difficult start in life. He survived being used as a bait dog and carries a partial loss of an ear along with a few spots where his fur is still growing back, small reminders of his past that only make his strength and sweetness more remarkable. Today, Benji is a happy, affectionate, and cuddly boy with beautiful, expressive eyes and a joyful personality. He loves a full belly, cozy snuggles, and getting his zoomies out during walks or playtime. He’s smart, eager to learn, and has quickly picked up his name, basic commands, and fetch. Benji can be a little unsure around larger dogs at first, but his confidence grows with each positive experience. He may bark briefly when meeting new people, but settles quickly once he knows he’s safe. Benji is house-trained, crate-trained, walks beautifully on leash, and rides happily in the car. At about 15 pounds, he’s the perfect size for just about any home. Benji would thrive with a family that enjoys teaching and guiding a young dog as he continues learning about the world. He has plenty of energy and would do best with a fenced yard to burn it off. Most importantly, Benji is deeply bonded to his best friend, Snoop, and must be adopted together. Please Note: **No children under 10!** If you are interested in adopting BENJI AND SNOOP, please go to our website www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to see our adoption process and download the adoption application BENJI AND SNOOP's adoption donation is $1750

Story
SNOOP: 14lbs Schnoodle ( Schnauzer/Poodle mix) Black 16 months Meet Snoop Snoop is an affectionate, playful Schnoodle with a big heart and an even bigger love for fun. He’s incredibly smart and has quickly learned his name, basic commands, and how to play fetch. Snoop adores toys, plays enthusiastically, and is respectful of the home, no unwanted chewing here! Snoop is confident, friendly, and loves being part of the action. He enjoys walks, playtime, car rides, and especially spending time with his favorite companion, Benji. Like his buddy, Snoop may bark briefly when meeting new people, but calms down quickly and warms up fast. He is fully vetted, neutered, house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash. At around 15 pounds, Snoop is an ideal house dog who would do well in a home with kids or with someone who is around most of the day. He has lots of youthful energy and would benefit from a fenced yard where he and Benji can run and play. Snoop is still learning about the world and would love a family who enjoys helping him build confidence and explore new experiences, especially alongside Benji. Because of their incredibly strong bond, Snoop and Benji must be adopted together.
