Story
These two absolutely adorable, snuggly sweet little muppets are Sofia and Saffron! This darling mini schnauzer duo came to us when their parents were getting divorced. They had purchased them as babies and as their relationship dissolved and they went their separate ways neither of them were able to keep them sadly. They’d reached out for help and fortunately a foster home who super loves schnauzers was happy to help these sweet girls on their journey to find their dream home! Saffron is 6 years old and weighs 11 lbs., and Sofia is 7 years old and weighs 14 lbs. They’re both healthy, spunky, lively little girls! They are current on vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, microchipping and spayed! These two little girls were purchased from a breeder when they were babies. They were raised in a clean, loving, nurturing home and it’s broken their hearts to lose the only home they’ve ever known. They’ve been trained to be very well behaved in the house, reliably going potty and being very devoted companions. They will go potty in both a fenced yard and also do well walking on leash also. They’re used to loving parents and sleeping in the bed with them at night and snuggling up on the sofa! It took them a little bit to adjust to life in foster care but as they’ve mourned their loss they are blossoming beautifully as they build new relationships with their new housemates! They’ve shown to have a love for cats, so a home with a cat is absolutely an option for them! They’re living with other dogs as well and do well! They haven’t had much exposure to young children but are doing great with the older children in their foster home. These girls are wonderfully sweet and have just clearly gone through a loss. Having each other has made the adjustment easier for them, but their hearts are truly longing for a loving, devoted, peaceful, patient home who has a deep love for little schnauzers! Once they settle in, you’ll see how tender, sweet, easy going and loving they are. They are incredibly sweet, tender, loving girls and are longing for parents who will love them and commit to them for life. If these two sweet girls have captured your heart and you’d love to make their dreams of a beautiful life come true, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org and submit an application for adoption today!!

Story
This adorable duo were found in a very remote area in Arkansas. Unbelievably shy, they have gradually started coming out of their shell, and their personalities are beginning to blossom. Both are quick to smile and love the attention they are getting.  They are very affectionate and love belly rubs, squeaky toys, and chasing the other pups around the yard. Although they can be active, they also love to lay on the couch and watch television. They are not hyperactive at all. Both boys are crate trained and potty trained. They are young, so they still want to get into mischief such as chewing up socks. So before submitting an application, be aware that they are young and will need more training. Neither one has a dominant personality, they're both very low-key and get along great with other dogs and together. Both do very well while taking a bath. Benji is 2 pounds lighter than his brother Andy. They both weigh under 30 pounds and probably will not grow to be much larger. As much as we would love to see them go together as a bonnet pair, we realize that may not be possible. So we are willing to adopt them out separately. If someone would like to adopt them as a bonded pair, we will be happy to take off $150 off of the adoption fee. Currently they're being fostered on a farm in Arkansas. Transport is available to New England. Their adoption fee is $450 each, which includes the cost of transport. Andy and Benji are both heartworm negative, up-to-date on all core vaccinations, and microchipped. Both are afraid of kids and cats.  ##2559637##

Story
Meet Alpha, a super sweet adult neutered male Cairn terrier/small terrier mix! This adorable scruffy boy is currently overweight at about 28 lbs, we are working on getting him to a healthier weight (22-25 lbs would be a better range for him).  When he was originally taken into rescue in east TN, the vet estimated his age at 2-4 years. We now think he may be older than this, although we are unsure of his actual age. He has some stiffness in his rear legs and he hops around a little funny (possibly age related arthritis or an old injury - likely exacerbated by his weight). This doesn't stop him one bit though, he gets around just fine and has no problem with stairs. He loves walks and spending time outside, but he is a lower energy guy and does not require a ton of exercise. Alpha is a friendly boy who loves people! He is happy as can be when he is by your side, he loves to nap on the couch or by your feet and is a wonderful companion. Ear scratches are his favorite! He also loves to play with toys! He generally does well with other dogs, however he can be dog selective. He tends to do best with other lower energy, mellow dogs who give him space. He has been cat tested and does fine with dog savvy cats, he ignores them.  We think Alpha would do best in a calm home with older children 12+ who know to respect a dogs space, or no children.  He is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. A 100% good doggo! Apply to meet this special boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2453104##
