Max is a small, sweet pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He has some mild vision impairment, but it doesn’t slow him down—he navigates his world with confidence, curiosity, and plenty of enthusiasm. Max is very good in his crate, sleeps soundly through the night, and is doing well on housebreaking when kept on a schedule. He currently lives with two dogs and gets along beautifully with them. He will do well in a home with another calm, friendly dog who can help show him the ropes. Max LOVES toys and has the funniest way of inviting you to play—complete with silly noises and bouncy little hops. He’s also a big fan of walks and enjoys frolicking around the yard, and loves to take rides. Max is a great communicator and isn’t shy about expressing himself with his signature soundtrack of goofy, endearing noises. Most of all, Max is eager to please and ready to bond. We believe that Max will do best with someone who has terrier experience, as he has a typical terrier personality…energetic, feisty, intelligent, and tenacious. He is independent in spirit, which may make him less traditionally obedient. Max looking for a loving, patient home, that will give him the confidence, structure, and affection he deserves. Buster is a 2 year old Schnauzer mix. This little guy was rescued from the Shelter and was absolutely petrified of just about everything. He has settled in nicely at his foster home, but we know he truly is a ladies man because he prefers them over men. He seems to be fearful of men and we will never know the cause of that but what we do know is with time and patience this will get better for Buster. He just needs to know he's loved now, and no one is going to harm him. He is anxious, but is doing so much better trusting every day. Buster would love a home where there is not alot of crazy activity, he is too anxious for children so a home with adults only. We are working diligently on his housetraining, but in time, right now we just want Buster to know he's safe and can trust people (more so men) again. Time. love and patience goes a long way and in the end you will have this loving companion in Buster. Meet Rocco! This special complicated little guy is about 4 years old, less than 15lbs and some type of floofy terrier/poodle type mix we are guessing. He may bark and put on a tough act when meeting new people, but is lovable and happy once he bonds and loves walks and car rides with his favorite staff. He prefers to dine alone and is looking for a calm adult home with people who will give him his space and let him come over for attention on his terms. He was never socialized with other dogs either and will loudly try to scare them away first before they can scare him. Medically, he's also a complicated little dude. His owners never brought him to a vet, even when he had a severe back injury and was temporarily paralyzed. Luckily with rest he was able to mostly recover on his own from a suspected disc injury, but is still a bit ataxic and wobbly in his hind legs. He does best walking on grass and softer surfaces with traction, and shouldn't be allowed to jump on and off furniture or do stairs as there is more of a change of re-injuring his back. He's had some GI issues on and off as well and was diagnosed with IBD after an endoscopy and GI biopsies: he's doing much better on a strict prescription diet and medications now and is well-managed We know this guy isn't an easy sell... he's not perfect, but the bond that comes with taking the time to get to know and love quirky little dogs like him is extra meaningful.
