Story
Meet Oreo! 🖤🤍 — a young, scruffy puppy currently estimated to be 3 months old and weighing around 10 pounds. We believe this little one may be a Schnauzer Poodle mix, but as with many rescue pups, their exact breed blend is unknown. What we can say for sure is that Miles is 100% deserving of a loving home. Oreo is the perfect mix of playful puppy and cuddle bug! Her favorite game is fetch, and she absolutely loves squeaky toys. She’ll happily entertain herself by chasing, squeaking, and playing for hours before settling in for a well-earned nap. When playtime is over, Oreo’s sweet side shines through. She’s recently discovered how wonderful cuddle naps are and has started curling up on her foster for some extra snuggles. Oreo is also making great progress with crate training. At night, she sleeps in her crate right next to her foster’s bed and does wonderfully. If she wakes up during the night, she’ll quietly play with her toys and soothe herself back to sleep like a champ. One of Oreo’s funniest quirks? She loves carrot pieces! Before she eats one, she’ll toss it in the air, chase it, and play a little game of fetch with herself. It’s guaranteed to make you smile. If you’re looking for a happy, playful, and affectionate companion who will keep you laughing and then happily curl up beside you for a nap, Oreo just might be your perfect match! Story
**AVAILABLE FOR PRE APPROVAL FOR June 27th** Scottie is a 2-year-old neutered Mini Schnauzer mix who is ready for a fresh start and a forever family that can keep up with his fun-loving personality! This handsome boy originally arrived at the shelter as a severely matted stray, so neglected that he had to be shaved almost down to the skin to give him a clean, comfortable new beginning. After being neutered, Scottie was adopted, but through no fault of his own, he recently found himself back in need of a home. Now thriving in foster care, Scottie has quickly shown what a wonderful companion he is. He adores his foster's teenage children, loves chasing a ball, and can happily spend hours playing with his favorite toys. Friendly, playful, and full of life, Scottie is looking for a family ready to embrace all the joy and adventure he has to offer. Story
Welcome Ruby to CCPAL foster program. Ruby is a 4-year old Schnauzer/Yorkie dog. She weighs about 15 pounds. She was found on the streets of Texas roaming with another dog. She wasn’t thin or stressed so she may have been found right after she was dumped by the original owners. Ruby is potty trained, good with other dogs and friendly to people, even strangers. She has a longer coat and is not a big shedder. She would look more like a Schnauzer with the Schnauzer cut. She is loving, smart, cuddly and ready for her new forever home. She is getting her vaccinations topped up and will be spayed before adoption. She is good in a car and decent on a leash. She would be fine in a home with a smaller condo sized yard. She would only need a moderately active person. A walk would be enough exercise. She is relaxed, calm and beautiful. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video

Story
Meet little Buddy! He is a small Schnauzer mix. After his loving owner passed away, Buddy was thrown into the backyard by relatives who did not care for him properly. Fortunately, he survived the hot Arkansas summer & was relinquished to rescue.  Buddy thoroughly enjoys toys, lounging at home, & taking car rides. He loves playing outside & is very inquisitive about his surroundings. A fenced-in yard is recommended to keep him safe. In his foster home, all dogs are fed seperately. However, Buddy does a great job waiting for treats when given alongside the other dogs. While Buddy does well with other small dogs, he is not a fan of cats. A feline-free home is best for this little guy. Although he enjoys playing with toys, he does resource guard at times & will nip in order to keep them, therefore a home without young children or grandchildren is needed. Little Buddy gets along well with both men and women & would do great with adults. Buddy loves to be held like a baby & licks often to show his affection. He has had several teeth removed, but has no issues eating. Buddy is crate-trained, does well with a harness, & is using the doggy door as well as potty pads in his foster home. He does have occasional accidents. His foster mom is available to answer any questions.  Little Buddy is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, & heartworm negative. His adoption fee for New England adopters is $500, which includes transport to New England & a health certificate from his veterinarian. His local adoption fee is $175 (no transportation or health certificate). ##2580863##

Story
This adorable duo were found in a very remote area in Arkansas. Unbelievably shy, they have gradually started coming out of their shell, and their personalities are beginning to blossom. Both are quick to smile and love the attention they are getting.  They are very affectionate and love belly rubs, squeaky toys, and chasing the other pups around the yard. Although they can be active, they also love to lay on the couch and watch television. They are not hyperactive at all. Both boys are crate trained and potty trained. They are young, so they still want to get into mischief such as chewing up socks. So before submitting an application, be aware that they are young and will need more training. Neither one has a dominant personality, they're both very low-key and get along great with other dogs and together. Both do very well while taking a bath. Benji is 2 pounds lighter than his brother Andy. They both weigh under 30 pounds and probably will not grow to be much larger. As much as we would love to see them go together as a bonnet pair, we realize that may not be possible. So we are willing to adopt them out separately. If someone would like to adopt them as a bonded pair, we will be happy to take off $150 off of the adoption fee. Currently they're being fostered on a farm in Arkansas. Transport is available to New England. Their adoption fee is $450 each, which includes the cost of transport. Andy and Benji are both heartworm negative, up-to-date on all core vaccinations, and microchipped. Both are afraid of kids and cats.  ##2559637##
