Story
Meet Halo! Halo is a precious 8 year old Miniature Schnauzer and she weighs about 20 pounds. This sweet girl is shy, but she's still getting used to her new environment. With time, she'll surely warm up! She does well with other dogs and is calm in her crate. Potty training is a work in progress but she'll get there! All Halo really wants is snuggles, pets, and love. Halo will be a great addition to a patient home where she can decompress and learn how to live the good life. She's such a sweet girl and we want her to have exactly what she needs! Halo's adoption fee is $550

Meet Willow **********************We will only be responding to emails, Sorry-phone calls and texts will NOT be answered. Contact info is at the bottom of this post.********* To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :) Sweet Willow is ready for her forever family, and she deserves all the best after the bumpy road she has endured to get to this point. Willow is just over a year old, about 12 pounds, and her breed(s) are a good guess. We cannot guarantee she is indeed a Schnoodle. Willow found herself at a large shelter, sounds not so great, but is was her lucky day. She had been injured, perhaps by a dog bite, and her ribs were actually protruding thru her skin. Poor little thing, she must have been in such terrible pain. That was all patched up and soon she would have a repair to her eye(cherry eye) as well as all her vacs and a spay. When Willow came to rescue she was a bit timid. We totally understand, it doesn't sound like she had too much love and care in her short time on this earth. She was lovingly fostered by a couple that adored her. She gradually came out of her shell and became the silly little girl that she is. Willow even lived with two cats, she wanted them to play with her sooooo bad, and on occasion one would begrudgingly agree to be a buddy. Poor cats-lol-not all of them want a rambunctious puppy girl in their life! Willow is now in a home with several other dogs. After a period of anxiety and settling in she is the life of the party. Will adores the other dogs, especially the ones that share her love of toys and the silly side of life. Her very best pal is Lydia, a Cavalier/Maltese mix. Lydia has really come out of her shell with Willow's help. Wouldn't it be great if they went home together!!?? It is so special how the bonds form with certain dogs and how they each help each other on their own journey. Lydia was traumatized by her life and was so shut down. Now, her and Willow run laps in the house, chase each other around and all the toys happen to end up on Lydia's favorite blanket. Willow will be looking for a special loving home that will take the time to let her settle in. Our first priority will be a home with another playful/active dog. She thrives on companionship. She is doing almost perfect with her potty training, as long as she is taken out frequently. So-no long hours alone, that would not be the best thing for such an active, playful and social little girl. She will be fine with older kids, but right now, no little guys. Willow gets so excited when she plays that she will nip/pull the pant leg of her people. It is all in play, not a bit of aggression, but not appropriate for small children. Willow is such a cuddly, sweet, adorable little girl and we know she will be a very special addition for some lucky family. She has plenty of supplies to go home with her. Her adoption fee is $500. Story
Gracie is looking for a loving forever home! Gracie is a female miniature schnauzer born on 4/18/19. She was given up by a breeder when she was no longer needed to make puppies. Gracie needs an experienced and patient dog lover who knows how to handle skittish or breeder release dogs. Gracie has been in her current (Wisconsin) foster home since the middle of September. She has gained a lot of confidence in that time. She loves to hang out in the same room that you’re in. Enjoys laying next to you on a chair. Doesn’t jump up on her own, but with your verbal cue she’ll let you pick her up. Ever so often, she’ll wrestle/play with one of her willing house mates. In the yard, she’ll venture around either with the other dog or my herself. Gracie’s recall needs work but eventually she comes to the door. She kennels good when you’re gone or at nighttime. She was really good when groomed, including doing her nails. Gracie is still unsure of strangers but gets better over time. Her foster usually bring her to where they are so she can see who, what she’s fussing about. Polite patient people of all ages will suit her (yes even polite grandkids!). She loves her squeak toys and think they remind her of her puppies. Her little tail flutters when she hears a squeak. Mealtime (breakfast and supper) are her favorite times. She turns herself inside out till you put her bowl down. If you think you have room in your life and heart for this sweet little girl, she won’t disappoint you. If you have a secure fence and another dog Gracie is your gal. Gracie is spayed, had a dental, up to date on shots, de-wormed, micro-chipped and fecal tested and heart-worm tested negative. We require an adoption application, phone interview, virtual house check, and meet and greet with your entire family.
