Story
Meet Gizmo! Breed: Schnoodle (Schnauzer poodle mix) Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Fun fact: He’s a nature lover! Gizmo loves to go on sniffaris in his foster’s yard, hunting for squirrels and smelling all the smells Age: Golden Oldie Weight: 11 lbs Foster home: Madison, WI Activity level: Moderate Friendly with: Dogs, not cat or kid tested but would probably be OK with mellow cats and older kids who wouldn’t sneak up on him Sleep style: Loves to get some cuddles and then get cozy in his dog bed Meals: Gizmo recently had a dental and has switched to soft food (he only has 4 teeth left so soft food is easier for him) Medical needs: Gizmo is blind but does not have additional medical needs Meds: None Snore-o-meter: 1/10 Bark-o-meter: 2/10, not a barker once he gets settled into a new space Shedding meter: 1/10, does not shed but should see a groomer to keep him looking his best Fashion: We imagine him in a boy scout bandana with binoculars outside exploring Best feature: His sweet personality, this cuddle bug loves to melt into you when cuddling Walk out song: Sunshine On My Shoulders - John Denver Favorite season: Spring/Summer/Fall, loves to maximize his time outdoors exploring Hobbies: Sniff-aris, trail walks, lap cuddles, treat testing Personality: Friendly, adventurous, diligent in his mission to find all of the critters in his yard, sweet, cuddly Neutered Microchipped Housebroken on a schedule Great leash skills Free roam when left alone (no crate needed) UTD on vaccinations UTD on preventatives Gizmo came into ADL’s care as a stray so his past is a mystery. He is blind but quickly adapts to new spaces. His foster blocks stairs to avoid him falling and his forever home should have no stairs or stairs should be blocked/he should be carried to avoid injury. He’s great at navigating new homes, but should be secured when left alone to avoid him getting lost/injured. He is a sweet, loving pup who is mellow and loves to go for walks and be spoiled! Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $350, ($600 for a pair). Hi, I’m Joy… and I hope I can bring a little of that into your life! My favorite thing in the world is being close to my person. I en-JOY following you from room to room, soaking up every gentle pet and every moment we spend together. I’m a calm, loving little girl who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, so fitting into your family will be easy. I’ve spent much of my life taking care of others. Now I’m hoping it’s finally my turn to be someone’s baby. I’d love nothing more than a family who will show me that the very best chapter of my life is still ahead. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a big heart and a gentle soul, I’d love to meet you!

Story
Ralphie is a 2-year-old boy with a playful spirit and a love for the great outdoors! This active guy enjoys running around, playing with other dogs, and having fun with his favorite toys and balls. And guess what? He’s even figured out how to entertain himself by playing ball indoors! Ralphie is housebroken and crate trained, and he’s working on improving his leash skills. He gets along well with other dogs and would really enjoy having a canine buddy to run and play with. A fenced-in yard would be a wonderful bonus for Ralphie, giving him the freedom to stretch his legs, burn off some energy, and enjoy all his favorite outdoor adventures! Ralphie can be shy around new people and may need a little time to feel comfortable, so a patient family who lets him settle in at his own pace would be ideal. He may not be the snuggly type, but he likes to keep tabs on his people and will happily follow you around to see what you're up to. He just likes knowing his favorite humans are nearby! Another bonus? Ralphie doesn't shed, although he'll need regular grooming to keep his coat looking and feeling its best. If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who enjoys playtime, outdoor adventures, and the company of another dog, Ralphie might be your perfect match! With a little patience, a playful home, and a family who appreciates his independent personality, this sweet boy is ready to find his forever home.   Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 11-3 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person.   Follow us on Facebook for additional updates and sneak peeks of new dogs!  https://www.facebook.com/reachrescue ##2853092##

Story
Dorian is discovering just how wonderful life can be, and his foster mom is getting to see more of his sweet personality every day! He may be shy when meeting new people, but once he gets to know you, he blossoms into a happy, affectionate and downright silly boy. He loves being his foster mom’s little shadow, giving kisses, snuggling up close, and soaking up belly rubs. He’s even starting to discover the fun of toys—and who knows what other adventures he’ll uncover as his confidence continues to grow! Dorian is good with other dogs and would love a patient, loving family who will let him take things at his own pace. A quieter home without children may be the best fit for this sweet guy. The best part about Dorian? Once he trusts you, you get to see the happy boy hiding behind those shy first impressions. And he has plenty of love, kisses and cuddles to share!   Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 11-3 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person.   Follow us on Facebook for additional updates and sneak peeks of new dogs!  https://www.facebook.com/reachrescue ##2853094##
