Story
Meet Gizmo! Breed: Schnoodle (Schnauzer poodle mix) Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Fun fact: He’s a nature lover! Gizmo loves to go on sniffaris in his foster’s yard, hunting for squirrels and smelling all the smells Age: Golden Oldie Weight: 11 lbs Foster home: Madison, WI Activity level: Moderate Friendly with: Dogs, not cat or kid tested but would probably be OK with mellow cats and older kids who wouldn’t sneak up on him Sleep style: Loves to get some cuddles and then get cozy in his dog bed Meals: Gizmo recently had a dental and has switched to soft food (he only has 4 teeth left so soft food is easier for him) Medical needs: Gizmo is blind but does not have additional medical needs Meds: None Snore-o-meter: 1/10 Bark-o-meter: 2/10, not a barker once he gets settled into a new space Shedding meter: 1/10, does not shed but should see a groomer to keep him looking his best Fashion: We imagine him in a boy scout bandana with binoculars outside exploring Best feature: His sweet personality, this cuddle bug loves to melt into you when cuddling Walk out song: Sunshine On My Shoulders - John Denver Favorite season: Spring/Summer/Fall, loves to maximize his time outdoors exploring Hobbies: Sniff-aris, trail walks, lap cuddles, treat testing Personality: Friendly, adventurous, diligent in his mission to find all of the critters in his yard, sweet, cuddly Neutered Microchipped Housebroken on a schedule Great leash skills Free roam when left alone (no crate needed) UTD on vaccinations UTD on preventatives Gizmo came into ADL’s care as a stray so his past is a mystery. He is blind but quickly adapts to new spaces. His foster blocks stairs to avoid him falling and his forever home should have no stairs or stairs should be blocked/he should be carried to avoid injury. He’s great at navigating new homes, but should be secured when left alone to avoid him getting lost/injured. He is a sweet, loving pup who is mellow and loves to go for walks and be spoiled!
