Story
Meet little Buddy! He is a 10 pound, approximately 4 year old, Schnauzer mix. After his loving owner passed away, Buddy was thrown into the backyard by relatives who did not care for him properly. Fortunately, he survived the hot Arkansas summer & was relinquished to rescue.  Our little Buddy is doing great in his foster home, enjoying playtime with 3 other small dogs.  He thoroughly enjoys toys, lounging at home, taking car rides, & playing outside. In his foster home, all dogs are fed seperately. However, Buddy does a great job waiting for treats when given alongside the other dogs. While Buddy does well with other small dogs, he is not a fan of cats. A feline-free home is best for this little guy. He has a history of nipping when playing with squeaky toys. Due to getting overstimulated, these toys are not recommended. Although a home without young children or grandchildren would be the ideal environment for Buddy, he would do well with adults of any age. Buddy gets along well with both men and women. This sweet little fella loves to be held & has the most playful personality! He is definitely a joy to love on. Also of note, Buddy had several teeth removed during his recent dental visit. His little tongue sticks out at times, especially while sleeping. When super relaxed, he sometimes looks like he has two little fangs! It is truly adorable to see! Buddy is crate-trained, does well with a harness, & although he did require the use of belly bands at first, he is now using the doggy door as well as potty pads in his foster home. His foster mom is available to answer any questions.  Little Buddy is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, & heartworm negative. His adoption fee for New England adopters is $500, which includes transport to New England & a health certificate from his veterinarian. ##2580863##

Story
This adorable duo were found in a very remote area in Arkansas. Unbelievably shy, they have gradually started coming out of their shell, and their personalities are beginning to blossom. Both are quick to smile and love the attention they are getting.  They are very affectionate and love belly rubs, squeaky toys, and chasing the other pups around the yard. Although they can be active, they also love to lay on the couch and watch television. They are not hyperactive at all. Both boys are crate trained and potty trained. They are young, so they still want to get into mischief such as chewing up socks. So before submitting an application, be aware that they are young and will need more training. Neither one has a dominant personality, they're both very low-key and get along great with other dogs and together. Both do very well while taking a bath. Benji is 2 pounds lighter than his brother Andy. They both weigh under 30 pounds and probably will not grow to be much larger. As much as we would love to see them go together as a bonnet pair, we realize that may not be possible. So we are willing to adopt them out separately. If someone would like to adopt them as a bonded pair, we will be happy to take off $150 off of the adoption fee. Currently they're being fostered on a farm in Arkansas. Transport is available to New England. Their adoption fee is $450 each, which includes the cost of transport. Andy and Benji are both heartworm negative, up-to-date on all core vaccinations, and microchipped. Both are afraid of kids and cats.  ##2559637##

Story
Meet Melo, a sweet ~2-3 year old neutered male schnauzer/poodle mix, weighing about 20 lbs! Melo is a good natured, friendly boy who is great with other dogs (he tends to be submissive), people, and kids! (not cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.) He loves to play with his doggo friends and is a goofy, lovable guy! He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this darling boy today!  **Melo will be arriving in New England on 1/10 and will be available at our Dayville, CT adoption event on 1/11 (pre-approved adopters only - please submit an application now if you are interested in meeting and potentially adopting Melo at the event!)** Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2621463##

Story
Peanut is a 2-year-old female that weighs 19.20 lbs – Her brother Butter was adopted and living his best life already 😊 These fantastic furbabies were found running in and out of traffic on a busy road when they were seen by a good Samaritan. It took over an hour, and lots of dodging traffic to finally encourage these 2 into their vehicle. We do not know how they were not run over, but we are so glad they gave in to going to safety! With that being said, we know they do enjoy car rides and loading up in the vehicle! While we do not know what their exact breeds are, they do not shed, therefore we do believe they can be considered hypoallergenic. Based on looks – We think they could be a mix of schnauzer, poodle, Lhasa apso, shih tzu and Tibetan Terrier, but who knows?! They are cute for sure! Peanut and Butter are not bonded, but they do get along wonderfully. They are fostered with other doggies, and they get along with all the dogs they meet, big and small, young and old. They would do great with other dogs in the home or with no dogs in the home. While they have not actively been introduced to cats recently, we believe based on their personalities they would do great with cats. They have no aggressive behaviors and are really just some of the most easy-going doggies. Peanut and Butter are more relaxed dogs – they enjoy lounging around the backyard and around the patio. Peanut is a little shyer than Butter, she does take a little bit of time to come around. The foster believes both would do great with children, but Peanut would be best with older, more well-behaved children who understand patience and kindness with a dog. Butter is more outgoing and would be better with all age children. They are crate trained and house trained. Both dogs would do best in a home that is more low key to medium active as they are not very hyperactive dogs and just like to hang out. They would do great with walks around the neighborhood or just a backyard to hang out in. Even car rides around just to get out of the house and see the views 😊 Peanut and Butter are wonderful furbabies who deserve a family or families that will love them and not let them run the streets and dodge cars that they don’t understand will end their lives. Peanut is spayed, heart worm negative, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, current on dewormer, current on age-appropriate vaccinations (parvo/distemper, bordatella and rabies vaccine) and microchipped. She will receive clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY Wells and Brattleboro, VT Willington, CT Port Chester, NY Dayon and Akron, OH Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ White Marsh, MD and Falls Church, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.
