Story
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Kenicke is a high energy boy who loves the outdoors and to play with other dogs.  He was found by MACC roaming the streets with his sister, Rizzo, who is almost his identical twin.  Yes, twinning!  He is a ragamuffin weighing in at only 11 lbs. He likes to be around his people and will crawl into your lap for snuggles.  Lil Kenicke comes to you fully crate trained where he sleeps at night (although we’re thinking he would prefer to sleep with his people). He is working on his house training and could use some help to give him that final push to get him to 100% house-broken (Note: he doesn’t have accidents in his kennel).  We know he can do it! Given Kenicke’s temperament, he would do best in a home where he has space to run his little heart out and expend all his energy so once he’s in the house he can show you what a truly sweet boy he really is.   Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2510629##

Story
Oatie (short for Oat Milk) is a stray we found this summer in Minneapolis. He is very sweet and cuddly. He only barks when someone's at the door and when he's about to get fed - otherwise he is very calm. He enjoys road trips and hiking, and will lay in your lap the entire time in the car. He is not neutered, and has a heart murmur that would cause a challenge if he went under anesthesia. His major issue is that he is not potty-trained, so he wears doggy diapers in the house and has to be changed frequently.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Before joining the rescue, Barkley spent time surviving on the streets of Texas. Understandably, he's still learning to trust people, but his gentle spirit shines through. Barkley is a sweet, sensitive soul who is cautious and will retreat when he feels uncertain or overwhelmed. He would thrive in a calm, compassionate, slower-paced home with a family committed to building his confidence at his own pace.   While he may do well with older, respectful children, younger kids can be a bit too fast-moving and unpredictable for him, which can be scary. Barkley clearly longs for connection and he’s still figuring out how to ask for it. With patience, love, and consistency, he’ll blossom into a loyal and loving companion over time. It will take him time to approach his human and nose bump the tip of their finger.   Barkley has made great progress with potty training and is currently learning how to walk confidently on a leash. While he's still building trust, it's important to treat him as a potential flight risk. For his safety, he should always be kept on a leash until he feels secure and recognizes his adoptive home as his safe haven.   Given his agility—he’s quite the jumper! A fence of at least 4 feet is required. He has previously cleared a 3-foot pen when feeling anxious, so a secure fence top and bottom is key.   Barkley truly blossoms in the company of other friendly dogs. Having a canine companion or more in his adoptive home is essential to help guide him, build his confidence, and show him that he’s safe and loved. He feels noticeably more at ease when other dogs are around. Although Barkley isn’t a fan of being crated, he’s a well-behaved boy who can be trusted to free roam the house when you're away.   In his foster home, Barkley enjoys following the other small dogs around—whether it’s exploring the house or heading outside to the fenced yard to do his business. He loves lounging in the grass and soaking up the outdoors or running around the yard playing chase with his canine friends.   Barkley is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Captain — the adorable little chaos biscuit himself. Captain is a happy guy who definitely believes his voice is his superpower. If a leaf moves outside? He’ll let you know. A shadow walks by? He’ll let you know. Your own reflection in the window? Yep… he’ll let you know that too. He’s currently learning the house rules and, so far, the cats might as well be decorative pillows—he completely ignores them. This skinny little dude came in severely matted but was a total champ during his makeover. Now he’s rocking his “freshly baked” look. Captain is still a nervous nugget, especially around men, but he’s trying his best. Kids? He hasn’t met any yet, but with a gentle, respectful child, he’ll probably warm up. As for cuddling… he’s far too busy being excited, confused, and dramatic to sit still for snuggles. One day. Not today. He LOVES squeaky toys and will proudly squeak one for an unreasonable amount of time. He also does the classic “pick me up” dance—back legs up, front paws flailing on the fence like a tiny circus performer demanding attention. Captain is a small guy with a big personality who just needs time to settle in and realize the world isn’t out to get him. With patience and love, he’ll go from nervous baguette to confident loaf in no time. Captain is from a local impound.
