Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Current Location: Severn, MD Short Legs, Big Heart Spades may have the shortest legs in the litter, but he makes up for it with the biggest personality. His little legs hustle as fast as they can when it is time to play or when he sees you coming. He loves to be held and will happily melt into your arms. Ear scratches are his favorite thing in the world. The moment you start rubbing them, he leans in like he has been waiting all day. Spades loves squeaky toys, chew toys, and full speed wrestling matches with his siblings. His tail never stops wagging. He does have a small hernia that will be repaired when he is neutered, and it does not slow him down one bit. 📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Personality: She's sociable and energetic. She adapts to new places right away and loves to reach out to new people and friends she meets. She knows how to say hello to familiar people and friends. She loves to play with other dogs and loves to play with people. She picks up on new training quickly, so we think she would make a great dog for a family with a good understanding and training knowledge of dogs. She's a bit of a sneaky prankster right now, so she can get into trouble, but she's affectionate, gentle, and full of energy. • Affinity with -Cats:She is currently living with cats in a temporary foster home. She is not aggressive with cats, but she is very interested in them, so if you have a cat that likes dogs, she would be fine. -Dogs: She is currently living with the dogs in her foster home without any issues. They play well with each other, are socialized, and warm up quickly to new dogs they meet. -Adults/Kids: She is very fond of people and loves to be petted. He also loves to run in the park, but will sometimes try to run outside if there is no fence. she is fast and has a lot of energy, so she loves to run around in large parks and meet people and dogs. she also loves to go for walks in the mountains, but she has a hunting instinct and is interested in small snakes, rodents, and birds. • Housetrained: She goes potty on pee pads and highly prefers to go outside. She can chew on wood and plastic furniture and will grab small items that fall on the floor and play with them.
