Coco Bean is a 4 year old Morkie who weighs about 12 pounds. He’s a silly, playful little guy who loves spending time with his foster mom and happily lets her brush his fluffy coat. Coco Bean knows a few commands already and is learning more every day. He enjoys a good nap but playing is definitely his favorite thing. He’ll happily play with other dogs and is friendly with them, though his enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit much for calmer pups. Because of that, he may do best as the only dog in the home where he can have all the attention. Coco Bean is being fully vetted with us, including neuter, and will be ready for a loving home soon. He’s a fun little companion who will bring a lot of personality and joy to the right family. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications! 2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better. 3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.) 4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! Meet a 10-Year-Old Who Thinks He’s a Puppy! I originally stepped in to dog-sit this sweet boy, and he quickly stole my heart. Though I hadn't planned on owning a dog, his loving and "super" personality made him impossible to resist. Why he’s the perfect companion: • Energy for days: You would never guess he’s 10! He is incredibly playful, full of energy, and absolutely lives for his daily walks. • Total Sweetheart: He is a very loving, loyal dog who just wants to be part of the action. The Ideal Home: I recently transitioned from working at home to being in the office five days a week. He is a social soul who thrives on companionship and needs more time and attention than my new schedule allows. I’m looking for a loving home where he can get the frequent walks and "people time" he deserves.
