Story
Hi I'm Rocky! My brother Oscar and sister Missy are also here at the Ark with me. I'm the 'big brother' of the three of us and we're lucky that we have each other to play with, and we sure do love to play! But the truth is, we really all want our own home and family to grow up with. I'm shy at first because I wasn't around people much when I was little, but once I get to know you, I'm a big playful wanna-be lap dog! I just need a little time to warm up before I get my playful gear in motion. I love to spend time with the volunteers, and go for walks and play and I love meeting and playing with other dogs too! I was really lucky and got spend a couple of weekends at one of the Ark volunteers home, and got to show off how well behaved I am and that I'm even housebroken already! When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm a Cur mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! And if you don't know what a Cur is - you sure have been missing out, good thing you found me because we're awesome dogs!! Check this out (from Google): Are cur dogs good family pets? Cur: Dog Breed Characteristics & Care Their energy, intelligence, and tenacity make them loyal workers and companions, while their desire to bond with humans makes them great family dogs. **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.

Hi I'm Missy! I'm the only girl in my litter, and that means I'm the sweetest one of the group! My brothers Oscar and Rocky are also here at the Ark with me. Story
Asha's owners loved her, but had a farm and she had a taste for the owner's chickensand made the choice to surrender her. Asha is high energy and loves to play, but alsoloves her snuggles and to be with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to herprey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats.Asha is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her newhome.

Story
Jim Bob is a 1 year old brindle boy with the cutest ears and white spotted chest and feet. He weighs 35 lbs right now and we think they may have  Mountain Curr/ Cattle dog/ Plott Hound/ and Lab in them but it is hard to say other than that they are cute! Jim Bob showed up on a farm with his brother and sister and they fostered them until room opened up at the rescue. They are good around farm animals and have learned house and leash manners since being at the rescue. He is good with cats, kids and dogs. Jim Bob is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative, and dewormed! His adoption fee is $250.April 27, 2024, 12:09 am
