Story
Hello- my name is Sloane! I am one of Sunset’s puppies and part of a litter of 8. Mama was found very pregnant and trying to survive all on her own in a rural area of Miami - she was desperately trying to find somewhere safe because it was almost time for us to be born. Luckily, Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue came right away! Mama went into labor right there in the car on our way to the rescue.Anyways, I am 3 months old as of the beginning of April and all ready to find my very own family. Mama appears to be a lab/cur mix and I don't know daddy. I currently weigh around 20lbs and the rescue estimates I will probably be about 45-55 lbs full grown (best guess-can't be guaranteed). While a little shy, I am very sweet and warm up quickly. I love playing out in the puppy yard with my siblings! My $350 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip and spay/neuter at one of my rescue's vets in Fort Myers, Naples, Port Charlotte, Orlando or Miami when I'm closer to 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. Story
Hello! My name is Vernors - My mama is a gentle, sweet girl who appears to be a smaller cane corso mix named Cola (hence we are the soda pop litter!). Mama was found very pregnant trying to fend for herself - upon rescue she barely made it to our vet before delivering her me and my 7 littermates on Feb 9th! We don't know who daddy is, but my rescue thinks we could be mixed with lab or mountain cur (best guess!). We are just two months old now as of mid April and already weigh between 13-15 lbs - we are going to be big, beautiful doggos. My $450 adoption fee includes vet check, up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip and spay/neuter at one of my rescues vets (Fort Myers, Naples, Miami, Orlando or Port Charlotte) when we are closer to 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. Story
Hello there, my name is Vito! I was found as a stray abandoned in a remote area. I made my way to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue where they provided me the medical and general care I needed to be ready for a furever family.I am estimated at 2 yrs old and appear to be a Mountain Cur/ Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, but I'm definitely on the smaller and shorter side weighing in at about 45lbs so must be another adorable breed in my mix! I am quite energetic, but not in a crazy puppy way. I would love to find someone who is active so we could go do lots of outdoorsy stuff together. I am dog friendly (proper introductions please). My $150 adoption fee includes vet check, up-to-date vaccinations, neuter, microchip and deworming. If you want to make me part of your family please go to www.gofar.dog and complete a free, non-binding adoption application. Story
Hello, I was named Blue Eyes due to my most noticeable feature- my stunning eyes! I am estimated at 2 years old, weigh around 50 lbs and my rescue sees mountain cur and Rhodesian ridgeback in me (best guess). I was part of a hoarding case where I had been kept in a crate with very little socialization for a long period of time. Luckily, Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue heard about me and provided the care I needed to get healthy. They have been so very gentle and patient with me as I learned to trust and how to be a "dog". While I am still a little shy at first, I am doing much better and finally ready to start looking for my furever family. I walk pretty good on leash and try to keep my kennel clean- with your help, we can establish a potty schedule that works for both of us. I have been okay with other dogs here at the rescue, but sometimes get scared when there’s a lot of barking and commotion. If you have a current dog, please bring him/her to the meet and greet with you so we can all meet.As I am still a little shy, I would do best with either no children or children over 12yrs of age that know how to be calm and gentle with me. Please understand, I am still learning how to be the bestest dog and part of a family- I will need a little extra time, patience and love.My $150 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, spay, deworming and preventatives while in our care, heartworm test (negative) and microchip. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. Story
Hi! My name is Ziggy! I'm estimated at around 9 months old as of mid-April and weigh 25-30 lbs. My mix is a bit of a mystery - I have the beautiful brindle coloring of a mountain cur or plott hound, but in a much smaller adorable package! I've been a sweet, social and affectionate guy with humans and other dogs and recently spent the day getting spoiled at The Drooling Dog Bakery in Fort Myers and was well-behaved with the clients. I do well with car rides and am pretty good on leash too! My $450 adoption fee includes vet check, up to date vaccines, neuter, deworming, microchip and heartworm test (negative).
