We take the dogs that are adopted down...so if a dog is on the website they are available. Obedience training and fully fenced in yard is required for all our pups.   Completion certificate for training needs to be emailed once complete.  When applying pictures/videos of your fully enclosed yard is needed. Please only send inquiries to the email in this bio all others will not be answered. Please read the bio before sending questions - we answer all we know about the dog here. If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Coco: The Perfect Companion! Hi, I'm Coco! Let me tell you, my story may have started rough, but it’s headed straight for a fairy tale ending—especially if you’re in it! Once upon a time, I was left behind after having puppies (don’t ask; it’s a sensitive subject). But lucky me, a kind human scooped me up and showed me love, belly rubs, and snacks! Now I’m spoiled, snuggly, and totally ready to find my forever home—just in time for the holidays! I’m a 1.5 to 2-year-old Treeing Tennessee Brindle, sporting a coat that could make runway models jealous. Seriously, look at me—don’t I look like I stepped out of a “Beautiful Dogs of America” calendar? Here’s what you need to know about me: Hobbies: Long walks, intense tug-of-war battles (I might let you win... sometimes), and chasing squirrels like it’s my full-time job. Skills: Snuggling on the couch, loyally following you everywhere, and being the cutest brindle babe you’ve ever met. Dreams: A big backyard where I can zoom around and live my squirrel-chasing dreams. Bonus points if you’ll throw in a few extra tug ropes! I’ll admit, I might be a little shy at first, but give me a chance, and I’ll be your most loyal sidekick and your snuggle buddy for life. So, what do you say? Let’s make this the coziest, most heartwarming holiday ever! Adopt me, and we’ll decorate the tree (or chew the ornaments—just kidding… maybe), bake treats (I’ll “taste-test”), and cuddle by the fire together. Don’t wait—Coco Claus is ready to bring love and joy to your home this holiday season. Let’s make it official! Coco's adoption fee is $400 - obedience training is required after adoption and fully enclosed front or backyard is also required. Story
DESPARATELY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME Foster parent is in his 70’s and his own 13yr old dog is having medical issues so having a young active dog has become too much for him. HIGH ENERGY YOUNG MOUNTAIN CUR or TREEING TENNESSEE BRINDLE MIX Male / neutered. About 11-13 months. Gets along with female dogs & NEUTERED males. He likes kids but we recommend that the child be 6 or older. Still too rambunctious for the cats so not sure how it would go. Loves the dog park / large backyard or plenty of room to run would be great. Has rabies shot but would need the tag. Heartworm negative and has microchip, just needs registered.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Training Camp graduate: Nov 1 Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the  Greyhound Advancement Center  which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”. Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves.  Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family. We can not thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home! Please note a fenced yard is preferred for this baby to romp and safely play. Granger came to PRBJ after he was dumped, and a kind lady took him in and searched for the owner. He is a playful pup who enjoys playing with other dogs. Granger has beautiful Curr markings, and charcteristic of the breed, is a strong boy.  He is not used to being in a crate and will need leash training.  Granger would prefer a home with older kids as he is energetic. New puppy parents must be dedicated to obedience, socialization and potty training to ensure the pup grows up to be a happy and well-adjusted dog. We recommend the ENTIRE family attend puppy training classes. This ensures that all family member are using the same commands and techniques.       Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 21, 2024, 9:07 am
