He will take a short period to warm up to you, but once he’s comfortable, your patience will have earned you a little shadow with a heart of gold.  You can tell by his eyes, Gray is very expressive; every thought he has ever had has been right there on his face. You can SEE him working through new challenges in his training, new experiences out in the world on a leash like an open, fuzzy book. Gray is playful!  He loves rope toys and a good game of tug-o-war!  He's good with other dogs - loves to run and chase.  He's active and busy and looking for a family to share that with.   Gray and his siblings have blossomed since first rescued.  The foster moms working with this crew have been dedicated and determined offering proper care, nutrition, structure, and basic training, and their dedication has paid off.  In fact, Gray has just completed a training program with one of our partners in Louisiana and did great.  Gray is a really good boy and he's learning the ways of life in a happy family environment.   As with all new pets Gray will need time to adjust to his  new family and new s urroundings.   He will also need someone interested in and able to continue his basic training in order to make him the best dog he can be.  Looking for a best friend, hiking buddy, walking buddy, who's energetic and playful - here's your guy!     Applications can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.  Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt, and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.   Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  Please be advised that we will not approve adoptions to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on this application.  Incomplete applications will not be processed. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cinnabon Australian Shepherd / Mountain Cur Mix | ~8 weeks old This beautiful brindle girl is a confident, playful, and affectionate puppy with a soft, slightly fluffy coat and expressive eyes. She’s curious about the world, eager to engage, and loves both people and other dogs. She adapts quickly to new environments and takes changes in stride — a great sign of emotional resilience. She plays enthusiastically, then settles well, showing a natural balance that makes her a joy to be around. We believe she is an Australian Shepherd / Mountain Cur mix, a combination that often produces loyal, intelligent dogs who form strong bonds with their families. She’s already showing those qualities — friendly, observant, and very people-oriented. This girl will thrive in a home that enjoys companionship, playtime, and connection. In return, she’ll grow into a loving, devoted family dog who wants to be included in daily life. If she sounds like the puppy you’ve been waiting for, please reach out and tell us a little about yourself. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Churro  Australian Shepherd / Mountain Cur Mix | ~9 weeks old This handsome little guy is a happy, confident, and people-loving puppy with a sweet, easygoing nature. He’s playful and curious like any healthy pup, but he’s not over-the-top or chaotic — he has a really nice balance for his age. He adapts well to new situations, enjoys being around people, and does beautifully with other dogs. He’s being raised in a social environment and is learning excellent dog manners early on. After playtime, he’s content to settle in and relax — a wonderful trait that often carries into adulthood. We believe he is an Australian Shepherd / Mountain Cur mix, a pairing known for intelligence, loyalty, and strong bonds with their people. He’s the kind of puppy who wants to be part of whatever you’re doing and will grow into a devoted, steady companion. This boy would be a great fit for someone looking for a smart, affectionate pup who enjoys interaction but also knows how to relax. If he’s caught your eye, we’d love to hear about your home and lifestyle. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Brody, a handsome little gentleman This sweet boy is around 10–11 weeks old and is blossoming more each day. When he first arrived, he was understandably frightened — but with the help of a calm, confident dog friend, he’s come beautifully out of his shell. What we’re seeing now is a gentle, thoughtful, and very kind puppy. We believe he may be a Mountain Cur / Catahoula mix — a combination known for intelligence, loyalty, and strong bonds with their people. These are dogs bred to be partners: steady, observant, and deeply connected to those they trust. Despite his unsure start, this little guy has shown a truly lovely temperament. He is exceptionally gentle, especially with two younger puppies he’s currently staying with. He reads other dogs well, adjusts his energy, and shows a natural kindness that you don’t see in every puppy. He’s not a loud or pushy pup — he’s more of a quiet observer, the kind who watches first, then leans in once he feels safe. With a little patience and continued positive experiences, he’s going to grow into a wonderful companion: loyal, emotionally steady, and devoted to his person. This boy will do best with someone who appreciates a dog with a mind and a heart — someone who understands that confidence grows through trust, not force. In return, they’ll get a dog who bonds deeply and gives that loyalty back tenfold. If his picture caught your attention, we’d love for you to reach out and learn more about him. Sometimes the very best dogs are the ones who just need someone to look past first impressions and see the soul underneath. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans.
