Story
Boston is the sweetest boy and will wiggle his way into your heart the moment you meet him. He is playful, curious, and snuggly. He loves a game of fetch, going for rides in the car, a good chew, and spending time with his person. He's fascinated by anything that flies and loves to track all of the interesting scents in the backyard. With each new experience Boston is learning that world isn't so scary and that people can be trusted. He enjoys the company of other dogs. Boston will spend quiet time in his crate and is fully house trained. This boy is a trainer's dream- he's so attentive, eager to please, and food motivated. He loves to learn. Boston is a 1 year old English Pointer/Lab mix. He's up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and monthly preventatives. He is neutered and microchipped, too. As with every dog, he will need to continue his socialization and training in his forever home. To adopt, submit an application at www.because4paws.org

Story
Meet Hazelnut, an adorable nine-month-old, 45 lb. pointer mix with the cutest speckle coat and big pointy ears. She was found roaming in a field in Texas with a shih tzu (adopted) a few months ago. She’s currently in Texas awaiting an adopter or foster so she can travel up north to find her furever family! Hazelnut is a high energy girl ready to be the life of the party! She is active, loves to play, can't get enough of her toys, and absolutely loves other dogs. She'd be thrilled to have a doggy companion in her furever home. She's super sweet and never says no to a snuggle. Hazelnut is fine around the kids but may knock a young one down so older children are recommended due to her exuberance. Due to living on the streets, she has never had training before so she'll need someone to guide and teach her basic manners and obedience. A home with a fenced yard is a must. Hazelnut will make a wonderful addition to any home! Her adoption fee is $450 and she is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. If you are interested in Hazelnut, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
Sash's story began in 2013 when he arrived at Pets Alive from a rural shelter in Georgia with very few resources. While a rockstar in doggie playgroups, Sash has kept his human circle of friends very small. Over the years, his circle of human friends has grown, and we continue to work on expanding it. Meanwhile, he enjoys his doggie playgroups and teaching other dogs how to be the best doggie friends they can be! Sponsorships allow us to do what we do best: always being there for the pets in our care. Sash is one of those that shows the lifetime commitment Pets Alive makes. If you would like to sponsor his care, please click the link here: https://www.petsalive.com/sponsor.html We appreciate any help that allows us to continue doing what we do best: caring for our animals!

Story
Our pretty little girl is called Cora and what a loving and sweet little Pointer mix girl she truly is.  She loves playing with other dogs and sleeping in the bed with her foster mom.  This little girl was one of 8 puppies left in an outdoor pen and basically abandoned by the former owner when they loved.  Neighbors stopped by for 3 months to feed and water the puppies and sadly that was all.  They grew and grew and eventually started fighting over the little food they had and the small pen was just so confining. One of the great Critter Cavalry Rescue foster moms heard of their plight and went to get them out of their hot, and confining pen that offered no exercise and not enough food daily…and NO HUMAN LOVE.  Now Cora and her siblings are seeking homes where they can spread their wings and bask in the love and care of their new families.  Cora is remarkably loving and fun and seems to not have been emotionally stunted by their early months of growing up abandoned.  We know that she loves other dogs!  She plays with a 45 pound black lab male that is a year old and “Her and Bo are like two peas in a pod”.  They absolutely love playing together, tug of war, chasing each other in the yard, or just sleeping in the dog bed together.  Cora is good with cats and loves the young children that are in the home, even with all their noise and high energy play.  She is almost there with her potty training and she is good with being in the crate at times needed.  Cora relates to people and loves them.  She always needs to be right by someone and loves to lay on your feet. She has learned not to be possessive of her good or toys as she first started out being.  We totally understood the possessiveness and now she is relaxed and eager to share.  This pretty girl and her siblings have come such a long way.  We are so happy for them to be in out foster care and receiving the love that they so readily deserve.  If you really want to adopt a “rescued dog” then Cora is the total definition of a rescued puppy! If you are interested in making her your own please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com!!! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 6, 2024, 7:28 pm
