Named Boo because he came into rescue in the month of Oct., there's nothing scary about this pup! He is very playful and loves playing with his roommate. They share toys and when they are tired, they curl up together. He could use some training to learn a few doggy manners, but he has a heart full of love and only wants to please. This dog is sheltered in a foster based, nonprofit rescue. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Ollie is estimated to be about 8 months old (9-24). We sure think he looks like a Mountain Cur. This breed is considered rare but are quite common in South. His foster reports that is much calmer and more gentle than expected. He is great puppy manners! The Mountain Curs are well-loved family dogs who thrive in the right environment, getting along great with kids and other dogs. Their high energy levels make them best suited for an active family where ample exercise and mental stimulation will be provided. Mountain Curs are known for their intelligence, tenacity, and high energy levels. Thanks to their history of working side-by-side with pioneers, they have a strong work ethic and thrive when given a job to do.Their short, dense coat requires minimal grooming, making them a relatively low-maintenance breed. However, their high energy levels mean they need regular exercise and mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy. Mountain Cur dogs do best in a home with an active, outdoorsy family who spends their weekends hiking, hunting, or just hanging out in their fenced-in yard.This dog is sheltered in a foster based, nonprofit rescue. Bosley is the only boy in our Charles Angels litter. We got a call about 4 puppies that needed help. A young lady had thought she had a rescue lined up and they said they could not take the puppies when she took them to them. She was given our number and after talking to her we could not say no. These poor babies were at a house with no food, they were eating anything they could find. They were also near a road that they would have been killed. Bosley is the sweetest fellow and loves to snuggle. He is doing great with leash training and it would not be difficult to house train him as they are all so smart. He would be great for anyone. We can do a video if you would like too. All of us in the rescue have full time jobs as well as running the rescue so if you are interested in Bosley please go to our website www.doginghampalacerescue.org for our application. Then email the application back to doginghamrescue@aol.com. The fees on our website are very out dated, we are waiting on the lady to update everything. Since covid hit, it is hard to get into vets offices and prices have gone way up. The adoption fee and transport fee is explained below. We are based in the Nashville, TN area and have most of our dogs transported up north. The $350 includes the adoption and transport fee (will have a health certificate too). The transport fee is not refundable if things do not work out.

On March 29th of this year 2024, our beautiful Lumina gave birth to 12 puppies and raised everyone of them to a place that they are now seeking adoptions. Every0ne of these precious babies survived because of the great love and mothering skills of this Mountain Cur mix girl. We call her Lumina because she illuminates the world with her kind spirit and sweetness. When you look into her eyes you see a connection of love and hope. Lumina was a stray and discovered by a woman in Tennessee right at the time that she was almost ready to give birth. Lumina has a calm spirit and someone will be so lucky to have her as their very own. She has some anxiety about being left alone but with time she will come to understand that she will not be abandoned by new family. She is housebroken pretty much and easy going and goes with the flow within a family’s lifestyle rhythm. She is loving, adaptable, gorgeous and kind. Gets along with all other creatures and loves the 4 year old toddler in the family. A busy little boy who she loves to see. Razzle Taz has the most beautiful coal black eyes that pierce your soul as he stares at you begging for some love and attention. This boy was taken from an abusive family who were bragging to co-workers about kicking and tying him up. The co-worker contacted Critter Cavalry and we found a wonderful foster family that is spending time getting to know Razzle Taz and what his emotional and physical needs will be in life. This boy is 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds. He is slim and sleek and has the energy of 3 puppies. This boy is so smart and curious and he needs mentally fun challenges daily and some real walking and exercise time in a fenced backyard or on the road running with an active person. This boy is very smart and would benefit from games, flyball, agility classes, just thinking activities paired with exercise. He is friendly with everyone and good with cats, dogs, children and ready to take on learning all he can about the world. Maddie arrived at the shelter as a stray, she did have a microchip, but none of the information was up to date so sadly no one ever came for Maddie. She is around 7 years old and if this girl could talk, she would have quite a few stories to tell us! She has bent right foreleg that has been determined to have been broken at one point but did not heal quite right. She also has some stiff hips possibly due to compensating for the front leg. She is currently on a joint supplement to help her move around a little easier. When she arrived Maddie had a terrible ear and skin infection that is now clearing up with medicated baths and medication to help. Maddie did have a senior blood panel done and it turns out that she has hypothyroidism, however the meds for this condition are fairly affordable and is a once-a-day tablet that she takes well in a "meatball". She will need someone that can provide regular vet care to ensure that her medication is at the right dosage for the rest of her life. Maddie is a sweet, lovable girl that would love to have a quieter home to make her forever home for her golden years! She is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested, and microchipped.
