Story
Ollie is estimated to be about 10 months old (9-24). We sure think he looks like a Mountain Cur. This breed is considered rare but are quite common in South. His foster reports that is much calmer and more gentle than expected. He is great puppy manners! The Mountain Curs are well-loved family dogs who thrive in the right environment, getting along great with kids and other dogs. Their high energy levels make them best suited for an active family where ample exercise and mental stimulation will be provided. Mountain Curs are known for their intelligence, tenacity, and high energy levels. Thanks to their history of working side-by-side with pioneers, they have a strong work ethic and thrive when given a job to do.Their short, dense coat requires minimal grooming, making them a relatively low-maintenance breed. However, their high energy levels mean they need regular exercise and mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy. Mountain Cur dogs do best in a home with an active, outdoorsy family who spends their weekends hiking, hunting, or just hanging out in their fenced-in yard. This dog is sheltered in a foster based, nonprofit rescue. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Story
Razzle Taz has the most beautiful coal black eyes that pierce  your soul as he stares at you begging for some love and attention.  This boy was taken from an abusive family who were bragging to co-workers about kicking and tying him up.  The co-worker contacted Critter Cavalry and we found a wonderful foster family that is spending time getting to know Razzle Taz and what his emotional and physical needs will be in life.  This boy is 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds.  He is slim and  sleek and has the energy of 3 puppies.   This boy is so smart and curious and he needs mentally fun challenges daily and some real walking and exercise time in a fenced backyard or on the road running with an active person.  This boy is very smart and would benefit from games, flyball, agility classes, just thinking activities paired with exercise.  He is friendly with everyone and good with cats, dogs, children and ready to take on learning all he can about the world.   If your are interested in this Mountain Cur mix pup please write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
** Theo: Your Next Adventure Buddy!** Say hello to Theo, an adorable 4-month-old mixed breed (born June 1st), destined to be a large-sized companion. Theo is a charming little guy who wins hearts with his respectful nature when meeting new dogs and people. But don't be fooled—he quickly shows off his lively personality! Theo is playful, active, and always ready to learn something new. He's mastering "the art of doing nothing" and picks up quickly. He likes outings with his people no matter if it's hiking, brewery visits, or just hanging out with friends. Eager to please, Theo would love a home that’s ready to explore the world with him and continue guiding him through training and new experiences. Theo is responding very well to clearly communicated rules and structure but does like to occasionally push his boundaries as most teenage boys would. This little adventurer has already tagged along with our trainer to the beach and discovered his love for water! Theo is a confident swimmer and stays responsive even in exciting situations. Yet, despite his love for exploring, Theo is also a champion cuddler. Whether it’s in his crate, by your side, or on his favorite dog bed, he’s always up for a cozy evening watching movies or keeping you company while you work from home. If Theo sounds like the perfect addition to your life, apply through our website today! Story
Meet Pongo, an 8-month-old Mountain Cur mix with a sweet, quirky personality that will steal your heart! This handsome pup may be a little shy when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly, and once he does, he’s all about snuggles. Pongo has a special trick up his sleeve: when he wants to “hide,” he burrows under the covers and adorably puts his paw over his eyes—convinced you can’t see him if he does that! He’s crate trained, walks like a pro on a leash, and loves playing with dogs of all sizes. Pongo is incredibly smart and eager to learn. If you’re looking for a loving and playful buddy with a dash of goofiness, Pongo could be your perfect match!
