Story
There’s Something Truly Special About Red Rover   Some dogs make an impression the moment you meet them. Red Rover is one of those dogs—but not because he’s the loudest in the room. His charm is quieter, deeper, and the kind that stays with you long after you’ve met him.   At first, Red may seem a little reserved. He likes to take a moment to observe, assess, and make sure everything feels safe. But offer him a gentle voice, a little patience, and a kind heart, and you’ll watch him transform. His tail starts wagging, his eyes begin to sparkle, and suddenly this sweet boy is showing you the loving, playful soul that’s been waiting to come out.   At approximately 5 years old, Red is the perfect blend of maturity and fun. He loves exploring the world at his own pace and is happiest when he’s close to his people. Whether you’re working around the house, relaxing on the couch, or heading out for a walk, Red will happily be right by your side, soaking up every moment together.   Once Red trusts you, he loves with his whole heart. He becomes your shadow, your best friend, and your most loyal companion. The bond he forms with his people is something truly special.   Red currently lives successfully with two small dogs and one larger dog. Because of his past experiences, he can sometimes be unsure around dogs his own size or larger and may be dog-selective. With proper introductions, guidance, and supervision, he has shown great progress and continues to thrive. Around smaller dogs, he occasionally forgets just how big he is, so continued supervision and gentle reminders help set him up for success.   Red is house-trained, wonderful on a leash, and settles beautifully in his kennel. Although, if given the choice, he’d much rather be curled up on a comfy bed with a cozy blanket nearby. Toys, chew bones, leisurely walks, and snuggling with his favorite humans are some of his greatest joys.   Red isn’t looking for a perfect home—he’s looking for the right home. One filled with patience, understanding, and love. In return, he’ll give you unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and a bond that is truly priceless.   If you’re willing to give this incredible boy a chance, Red Rover may just be the missing piece your family has been waiting for.   ##2551204##

Story
Meet Wanda!  Straight from the heart of Texas, Wanda rode into Canada with a big ol’ “Howdy, y’all!” and a tail wag that could lasso your heart in seconds.  Wanda is a young pup full of "Yee haw"  energy, always ready to play, explore, and zoom around the yard like she’s chasing tumbleweeds. But don’t let her lively spirit fool you! Once she’s had her playtime, she’s happy to curl up and chill like a true Canadian on a snow day. She’s a smart cookie too — already knows how to sit like a proper lady and is picking up new commands faster than you can say “double-double.” Her foster home is helping her learn the ropes, and she’s proving to be a quick learner. She walks well on leash with very little pulling and responds positively to verbal queues. She is not reactive to dogs barking as she passes them by. Who knew the world is such a big place? With all these brand new experiences, she is understandably a bit nervous and has the potential to be a flight risk.  If you're looking for a pup with Southern charm, Northern manners, and a heart as big as Texas, Wanda's your gal! ##2469706##

Story
Cheesestick is the epitome of fun and friendly. While in foster care, Cheesestick has proven to be very sweet and a major cuddler. He has aced potty training and has been accident free! He is a smart pup who quickly learned how to sit, and with food as a big motivator, continued training should be a breeze. His foster is working with him everyday!  Cheesestick is still youngand would love an active family! He is down for the adventures.  He did meet a cat at the shelter and was very excited. Additional cat testing can be done upon request. Being young, Cheesestick may require a longer period of patience and positive reinforcement if in a cat home and where the cat is able to be separated while going through this transition.  Are you looking for a happy, active new forever family member? Cheesestick could just be the guy for you! ##2676606##
