Story
Ollie is 6 months old, he is beautiful and smart. He is still going through the puppy chewing stage so just want to make sure to keep toys available. He has grown up these last couple of months with our other dogs and my toddlers. He really is a great dog, we are just too busy for his energy. Our other dogs are older so not as energetic as him. I bought him off a lady locally. He is very smart, house & kennel trained. He is also trained on the invisible fence in which we have installed on our property.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Aren't I gorgeous? I am not a good match for active small children - they make me nervous.Kane's my name - fun's my game. I am a sweet boy, a bit shy at first. I am cautious meeting new people, but once I warm up, I am your best friend.  I am crate trained, although I have never had to spend more than 4 hours in a crate during the day. I know sit and walk great on a leash. My mom is a super hugger, and I know if I sit when she opens my crate, I get an extra big hug and love from her. I love to cuddle.  I am famous for my attack hug.  Just when you least expect it! I need the companionship of another dog to bring out my best adorable personality. I am very smart and will learn quickly. I thrive on positive reinforcement and affection.  I love to play with my foster siblings. My favorite game is chasing the water hose. I am up to date with vaccinations, neutered and microchipped so you can't loose me. I am a bit timid with strangers and will take a little time to adjust to my new home, but I promise to be the best dog ever once I know I can trust you.    Small children scare me, so I would like to have older, considerate children in the home. I am looking for a forever family. Is that you?     aarfhouston.org/forms  =========================================================  Please contact app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. You can apply online by clicking on Application  Puppies that are under 4 months old cannot be adopted outside of our Veterinary Service area. Please call for specific locations.  Children under 8 years old often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs. In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue! The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip. Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it. NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others. AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you. Story
Meet Dipper ?? This sweet little goofball just came into our program from a local Shelter. He's about two years old and 35 pounds. He could probably put out another 5 to 10 pounds to be the perfect weight for his size. As you can see, dipper is incredibly handsome, and he has a great personality. He loves to run outside and often gets the case of the zoomies. Dipper loves people and just always wants to be a constant loyal companion. He gets along with other dogs. He's currently in a foster home with bigger and smaller pups and he's gentle and playful with all. If you would like to meet Dipper and give him a forever home, please apply on our website www.SAVErescue.org.
