Story
Molly is a mixed breed, possibly with Mountain Cur/Bull Terrier; we have ordered a DNA test and are waiting on results. -Around 3 years old -She was surrendered to a vet to be euthanized because she pottied on the floor. -High energy -Likes to go and check in on the smaller dogs; she is like the momma of all of the dogs. -Leash trained -Does well in her crate at night, doesn't make messes and goes right in -Good with other dogs, cats, and children -Well mannered, happy dog. Happy to be here! -Very friendly and outgoing -Takes her medication easily -She likes to "talk" -Was heartworm positive when we took her into rescue in November 2024. She has gone through treatment and is now negative! Story
This is Maddie. She is a smart, sweet girl who loves to cuddle and is eager to please. She was originally a rescue that was with a husband/wife couple for three years before we got her. When we got her, the owners thought she was a lab/whippet mix but we recently got her DNA results back and she is 46% Mountain Cur (a hunting dog), then some Pitty, Staffy and Cattle Dog. Her ideal home situation would be a loving, active family with older kids OR no kids. She is anxious around younger, unpredictable/energetic kids and has given warning nips to our five-year-old and got her face once while doing this. She is mostly OK with our other dog but has recently started resource guarding her around toys or me. She is a very loving dog but we do not feel we can do what it takes to manage the safety of our daughter. A calmer environment would serve her well as she is constantly managing the kids and anxiously moving about the house. She loves fetch, scent work and learning new tricks!

Story
Major is a handsome Plott Hound mix we adopted from the Tacoma Humane Society in September 2024. True to his hunting breed roots, hs energetic, strong, and always curious about the world around him. He has a goofy, fun-loving personality and brings so much joy when he’s in a playful mood. Major loves to be chased and enjoys a good wrestling match. He’s always ready for some active fun! He’s happiest when he has room to roam, so he would do best in a home with plenty of property or land where he can run freely and explore. Major loves going on long walks and spending time outdoors, but he’s not a fan of water. He’s crate-trained and does well when rewarded with treats. He would thrive in a calm, structured environment with adults or older teens, as he’s not suited for young children. Major is a loyal and affectionate dog who just needs the right home to match his active lifestyle. If you have space for him to explore and the time to enjoy his playful energy, he is the right choice!
