He is an energetic, shy but affectionate (once he gets to know you) and smart that likes other dogs and teen kids. He is a great  companion for an active family with a secure 6 ft fence, children over 12 years of age or active single person.  Catahoula experience is recommended.  He is an indoor dog.  He likes walks, car rides, toys. and dog beds.  He  will require daily walks and some dog training.  Will require 6 ft fence. No apartments or rentals. No cats. Helotes Humane Society is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with  rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate.  I want family! Isabel is a female approximately 1 yrs old 40 lb Catahoula mix.  She is a total love bug and will snuggle up on the couch or go on a walk and LOVES to play and RUNNNNN with her friends! Isabel loves kids and prefers large dogs to small dogs but has been known to snuggle up with a small dog, we just need to have them meet.  Isabel is housebroken and crate trained.
