Story
She was the runt of a litter from one of our dogs. I just want someone who can take care of her better than i can, she hasn’t had her shots or anything like a check up due to me not having a vehicle for a while, and now that i do my girlfriend who lives over an hour away from me is pregnant now and this complicates things. She is a very rambunctious girl, very hyper, adores like no other, and loves to go on walks.

Story
Peanut is a senior mixed breed, presumably part pug given the markings on his face. He is around 20 pounds, and 15-16 years old. (We aren't sure because dad adopted him from the humane society.) He is neutered. We learned a few weeks ago that he has a heart murmur, and he is on medication. He is losing sight and hearing, but neither completely. He belonged to my recently deceased father and is accustomed to being an only dog. He tends to challenge other males, even if they are much bigger, so he probably would do best continuing as an only dog. We have never had him around kids, but I don't think he would do well with them. (He definitely does not like to be picked up, for example.) He likes to go outside in the yard and also to snuggle up with his person. My sister and I would love to keep him, but we have moved abroad and already have 6 other dogs and a cat. We just don't think he could thrive there. If you like senior dogs, he will make a great family member

Toby is a four year old good boy. He is completely housebroken and loves to cuddle and get plenty of hugs. Great with other dogs, but definitely not cats. He loves children!! I’ve recently gotten a divorce and have started to work more hours and unfortunately, I’m just not at home enough to give him the attention that he deserves.

Story
Seeking cuddles and a comfortable couch! Due to her owner’s medical needs Potato has been under our care for a few months and we are now looking to find her a more suitable home for the rest of her life.Potato is a ~15 years old mixed breed and is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and recently had a dental performed. Don’t let her age fool you - she is still a mobile and spirited little thing!Potato needs a calm household with a comfortable couch and someone around in the daytime to take her outside periodically. She can control her bladder for 8 hours but does significantly better when let out more frequently. She is a lively dog but prefers to spend her time cuddled up on a couch or curled up nearby someone. She has no interest in toys but will utilize a lick mat. She is looking for a home committed to keeping her at the proper weight. She loves leashed walks around the yard for exercise and would love to be able to spend her last years filled with attention and pets.

Story
Rocky joined our family in the summer of 2023.  He was adopted from A New Leash on Life in Huntsville. He has been a great dog and a good companion.  He has been referred to as our “3rd child” after coming to our home. He has been exceptionally well cared for.  My wife has spared no expense when it comes to his comfort - snuggling him on the couch and letting him sleep in the bed. Later in 2023 we had another child who is now 2 years old.  Unfortunately, we recently had a food aggression incident that resulted in the two year old being bit. While the bite didn’t cause significant injury it highlighted that perhaps Rocky isn’t the “right” dog for our current situation. He is not vicious, but he is not a good fit for families with small children who don’t understand how to interact with dogs.
