Story
Peanut is a senior mixed breed, presumably part pug given the markings on his face. He is around 20 pounds, and 15-16 years old. (We aren't sure because dad adopted him from the humane society.) He is neutered. We learned a few weeks ago that he has a heart murmur, and he is on medication. He is losing sight and hearing, but neither completely. He belonged to my recently deceased father and is accustomed to being an only dog. He tends to challenge other males, even if they are much bigger, so he probably would do best continuing as an only dog. We have never had him around kids, but I don't think he would do well with them. (He definitely does not like to be picked up, for example.) He likes to go outside in the yard and also to snuggle up with his person. My sister and I would love to keep him, but we have moved abroad and already have 6 other dogs and a cat. We just don't think he could thrive there. If you like senior dogs, he will make a great family member

Story
Toby is a four year old good boy. He is completely housebroken and loves to cuddle and get plenty of hugs. Great with other dogs, but definitely not cats. He loves children!! I’ve recently gotten a divorce and have started to work more hours and unfortunately, I’m just not at home enough to give him the attention that he deserves.

Story
Indigo Celene is a 6-7 year old girl that loves to hang outdoors and get pets from people. She can be shy when on a walk or out and about but is definitely a dog that likes to have fun. She does like to express her voice at things she is suspicious of but is laidback over most things. She had very expressive eyes and enjoys relaxing in the sun. She is a mutt and has been labeled as a medium/black lab mix. She is good with kids but is not super aware of her size. She would be a good fit with a single person, couple, or family with kids above the age of 7. She and her sister are being rehomed due to family changes that impact the amount of attention and interaction they will be receiving. We would like her to be somewhere that can provide those more. She is good with her sister Tessa Rose, who is also in need of a rehome. However, due to the stress of rehoming it may be best if she goes to a home as a single dog or with her sister and not to a home that has other animals.

Story
I met Harvey a year and a half ago. He was found in late December, in the country by a friend of my brother. He had heartworm, which has been under control for a year now. He is about six years old. When I got him his front teeth were gone. Sadly I believe he was abandoned, and possibly abused. I have had him a year and a half, and since it’s been somewhat rocky. Harvey has some anxiety, which he is on trazadone for. He is quite sweet and loving, and has a lovely face. However, I have had issues with biting. Harvey is quite reactive with other dogs (males), but seems fine with fixed female dogs. I’m meanly reaching out because I fear I lack the ability, knowledge, or understanding to take care of him. If I could find someone who understands a dog like this, I know it would be best for Harvey.

Story
Please help us find the right home for Chloe. ❤️This is one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make.Chloe is our 5-year-old Blue Heeler mix. We rescued her from the euthanasia list 4 years ago, and she has been such a loyal, loving dog. Unfortunately, since having our son, she has become extremely protective of me and it’s no longer a safe situation with a young child in the home. This decision has absolutely nothing to do with not loving her. In fact, it’s because we love her so much that we’re trying to find a home where she can truly thrive instead of spending so much of her time separated from our family.Chloe would do best:• In a home without young children• With someone experienced with herding breeds• On land or with a job to do—she would make an incredible farm, ranch, or working dog• As the center of someone’s attentionShe is incredibly smart, loyal, and affectionate with her people. We are committed to finding the right home.
