Story
Toby is a four year old good boy. He is completely housebroken and loves to cuddle and get plenty of hugs. Great with other dogs, but definitely not cats. He loves children!! I’ve recently gotten a divorce and have started to work more hours and unfortunately, I’m just not at home enough to give him the attention that he deserves.

Story
Peanut is a senior mixed breed, presumably part pug given the markings on his face. He is around 18 pounds, and about 15 years old. (Not sure: the humane society didn't have history.) He is neutered, HW negative, and on Heartgard. He has cataracts in both eyes and is hard of hearing, but he sees and hears well enough that no special help is needed. Peanut belonged to my recently deceased father and is accustomed to being an only dog. He does ok with female dogs and similar sized males, but he sometimes challenges larger males, we suppose out of fear. We have never had him around kids, but I don't think it would be a good match. Peanut likes to go outside in the fenced yard to patrol his kingdom, but he also enjoys a snooze with his human. My sister and I would love to keep him, but we have moved abroad to a hot climate where we already have 6 dogs and a cat in a very small yard. We truly believe he could not thrive there. Peanut would be a great companion for an older person or couple.

Story
Macey (33 lbs) is sweet and the perfect pet for a single pet owner. She is friendly to other docs but has a dominate spirit. Perfect single pet home girl! She is very quiet and is part kangaroo deer lol. She can jump on the bed on ‘her’ side before you can get the entire ‘ come here Macey’ out. lol. She is always happy to make her place in a tight ball next to you. Please help me re-home our baby. Also, please speak gently to her , her feelings are easily hurt; it only takes a firmer tone or even a certain look- she will pout and tuck her tail and hide.

Story
Meet Nala a mature, medium-sized girl (roughly 8 years old) who is looking for a quiet, predictable environment where she can truly shine. At her core, she is a wonderful, low-maintenance companion. She is incredibly sweet with adults, loves receiving affection and attention, and is fiercely loyal to her chosen person. She has a great balance of independence—she is content doing her own thing—but will always be ready to bond deeply with her owner. She absolutely loves the outdoors and looks forward to her daily walks. She is also an excellent watchdog; she isn't a nuisance barker, but she will absolutely let you know when someone is approaching. If you have a yard, she takes her "job" seriously and is great at keeping it clear of unwanted pests.
