Meet Abby Day. She is one of the six dumpster puppies that were left to die in a dumpster before they were found and brought to the shelter. IMPORTANT: We have NO way to know what breeds these puppies are! They have freckles like some breeds, black/tan markings like some other breeds, brindle markings like other breeds. We are guessing they will end up being medium sized anywhere between 20-45 lbs based on their current size and the size of their feet. Plus the fact that they could all possibly have different daddies which is unlikely as they all have the same general appearance. But they are all BEAUTIFUL and VERY sweet which is all that matters! Abby is a little more reserved than the other puppies but she loves to cuddle. When she gets comfortable she is very playful. She has such a soulful expression. All the puppies have been tested for Parvo (Negative), and have been started on de-wormer. Her adoption fee is $95 which will include: Wellness exam, DAPP vaccine, Rabies vaccine (when old enough) dewormer, microchip and spay surgery (when old enough). Story
Peanut is a senior mixed breed, presumably part pug given the markings on his face. He is around 18 pounds, and about 15 years old. (Not sure: the humane society didn't have history.) He is neutered, HW negative, and on Heartgard. He has cataracts in both eyes and is hard of hearing, but he sees and hears well enough that no special help is needed. Peanut belonged to my recently deceased father and is accustomed to being an only dog. He does ok with female dogs and similar sized males, but he sometimes challenges larger males, we suppose out of fear. We have never had him around kids, but I don't think it would be a good match. Peanut likes to go outside in the fenced yard to patrol his kingdom, but he also enjoys a snooze with his human. My sister and I would love to keep him, but we have moved abroad to a hot climate where we already have 6 dogs and a cat in a very small yard. We truly believe he could not thrive there. Peanut would be a great companion for an older person or couple.

Story
Indigo Celene is a 6-7 year old girl that loves to hang outdoors and get pets from people. She can be shy when on a walk or out and about but is definitely a dog that likes to have fun. She does like to express her voice at things she is suspicious of but is laidback over most things. She had very expressive eyes and enjoys relaxing in the sun. She is a mutt and has been labeled as a medium/black lab mix. She is good with kids but is not super aware of her size. She would be a good fit with a single person, couple, or family with kids above the age of 7. She and her sister are being rehomed due to family changes that impact the amount of attention and interaction they will be receiving. We would like her to be somewhere that can provide those more. She is good with her sister Tessa Rose, who is also in need of a rehome. However, due to the stress of rehoming it may be best if she goes to a home as a single dog or with her sister and not to a home that has other animals.

Story
Jade is a few years old but still has the playful energy of a puppy! She is incredibly sweet, loving, and always happy to be around her people. This is a very difficult decision for us, but we are in the middle of moving and truly believe she would be happiest in a home with a fenced yard or plenty of space where she can run, play, and burn off all of her energy. We’re not sure what breed she is, but she’s a wonderful companion with a big personality. Jade does have some anxiety and a sensitive stomach, but both are well managed. She has done great on her current food, and as long as she stays on that diet, she does very well. Our biggest hope is to find someone who can give Jade the active, loving home she deserves. She has so much love to give, and we know she’ll make an amazing companion for the right family.
