Story
Roxie is a loving dog. She loves to cuddle and is friendly to anyone she is around. Although she does not like baths she will sit there and take it. She LOVES to eat and will eat out of the trash if it is open. She is house trained and will wait to go use the restroom but obviously long periods of time are not recommended. She has had her own bed before but she tends to tear them up after a while. She loves being out side and going for walks usually last 15 minutes before wanting to lay down. Yet she is still very energetic and playful. She loves squeaky toys. She is not great around children. She is okay around some dogs.

Story
Rita is a 45lb, 18mo old, German shepherd mix. She is sweet, incredibly smart, and trainable. She knows sit, down, stay, up, off, place, and will go to her crate if you tell her “go to bed”. She is spayed, micro chipped and her vaccines are up to date. She is house and crate trained and sleeps in her crate overnight. We found Rita with her mom and litter starving on the street, covered in fleas and ticks. We got them across the border to a rescue and brought Rita home. Rita is fearful of other dogs and new people, which causes her to bark/hide in her crate, when at home, and bark/pull on her leash during walks. My husband and I just welcomed our first child and the influx in visitors and action in the home have meant more anxiety and a lot more time in the crate for Rita. She would do best in a home without children and at most 1 other dog. Seeking a patient handler who can give her the time and attention that she needs.

Story
Raya is 2 1/2 years old. She is a very sweet and loving dog. She enjoys being with her family and playing with her chew toys and tennis balls. She knows how to shake with both paws, give high-fives, sit, stay and does the down position. Unfortunately, she does not get along with my female, senior dog. She is fine with my other male dog and has no issues. I think it might be a female dominant thing. I just wanted to be 100% open and honest we would love for her to find a new loving family without a female dog in the home.

Story
We’ve had Momo for 2 years, took him in after he was abandoned as a puppy. He is neutered, up to date on shots/vet visits/3 years old in April. We have a 10yr old lab and they get along great! Unfortunately Momo had a bite accident, we were sitting on the couch, watching a loud action film and my husband was eating next to me. I was kissing Momo on his cheek which we have done millions of times but something about this time was different and with no warning he bit my chin. He did seem to know he did something wrong, and since the bite he has just been back to his sweet loving self. I had to go to the ER that evening and got 2 stitches but I am healing well. Momo is not at all violent or aggressive dog, we think he was just over stimulated or perhaps reacting to my hormone changes in pregnancy. If we had not just brought home newborn we would keep him and put him through a training program but this option isn’t practical for our family and looking for a loving home!

Story
Chicken was found on the street after almost getting hit by a car. He is a bit skittish, but overall an extremely friendly dog once comfortable. He's fairly playful and he has no problem being carried. He gets along well with all my other cats and dogs. I am looking for someone who has the time to nurture his personality more. I am not sure what his past was like, but he does seem to have attachment issues and a little bit of anxiety. Sadly I do not have the time or space for another pet right now. I am looking for someone who has the time to love him and spend time with him as much as I wish I could.

Story
Brutus is a sweetheart who loves to play fetch, get his belly rubbed, take walks, and so much more. He's generally good with other dogs. I only checked the "Not good with dogs" box because he got into a scrap with another dog once over food. It breaks my heart to have to give him up, but hopefully he will find a good home here. I'll take him anyewhere between San Diego and Los Angeles and provide all the basics to get started....collar, leash, a big bag of food, bowls, etc.
