Story
I adopted Ford 6 years ago in Boston, and the two of us came out to California several years ago. He is a very sweet boy, not too energetic, really enjoys going on walks where he can sniff and pee on bushes, otherwise he's happy to lay on the couch. He is a little slow to warm up when it comes to people and other dogs, and he does get nervous around strangers if they're around the house, but once he gets to know them he can be so sweet and gentle (as you can see in the picture including his housemate Stormy). Unfortunately my life has gotten busy with my work and other personal responsibilities, and it's not fair to the people I live with to expect them to provide 95-100% of the necessary care. If I had it my way, his new home would simply have people who are willing to care for him, take him on walks and show him love and affection, and have a nice calm home for him to relax in and enjoy.

Pet was given to my mother. She was unable to keep it due to apartment complex rules. Took him in to avoid shelters. My sister and her children moved in shortly due to unseen circumstances. Dog is not comfortable with the children ages 5 and 7. Does well with teenagers and most dogs.

Story
Brutus is a sweetheart who loves to play fetch, get his belly rubbed, take walks, and so much more. He's generally good with other dogs. I only checked the "Not good with dogs" box because he got into a scrap with another dog once over food. It breaks my heart to have to give him up, but hopefully he will find a good home here. I'll take him anyewhere between San Diego and Los Angeles and provide all the basics to get started....collar, leash, a big bag of food, bowls, etc.

Here’s a polished version with your additions, keeping the tone warm and clear: --- Toncha is a sweet, loving, and loyal dog who has grown up alongside my two children and has been a wonderful part of our family. She’s gentle, **super affectionate**, and has the kindest eyes. She absolutely loves being close to her people and will happily sit on your lap for snuggles. She’s also great with kids. I originally acquired her from a local shelter in the city, and she is about 12 years old now. In a new home, I’m looking for a calm, loving environment where she can feel safe and comfortable, with someone who will be patient and give her plenty of affection. She would do best with a person or family who appreciates a quieter, more relaxed lifestyle. Unfortunately, with my work days now stretching to 14 hours and being a single parent, I’m no longer able to give Toncha the time, attention, and care she truly deserves. This has been a very difficult decision, but I want the best for her.

Abriella is looking for a loving home offering a safe space to get adjusted. She is pretty timid but slowly starts to warm up to you after a while. She is super curious and loves to follow around her foster brother. She is new to playing with her toys so it’s fun to see her open up and start to show even the slightest amount of excitement. She is really well potty trained even though she is a bit hesitant on walks. Overall she’s an amazing pup looking for a second chance at looking at the world through a new perspective.
