Story
Hi there! My name is Aja. I recently found a sweet young dog hiding in some thorny bushes while I was out on a run. She followed me back through the neighborhood as I went door-to-door asking if she belonged to anyone, but no one claimed her. A few neighbors mentioned that she had been staying near a homeless couple in the back alley, but they left her behind when they moved on.She appears well fed and healthy, so I believe she may have been cared for at some point. I would say that she is around two years old, about 35 pounds, and possibly a Dalmatian or Pointer mix.She is a bit weary of strangers at first, but she warms up quickly. I’ve had her in my backyard for a few days because I am an animal lover, and it breaks my heart to think of bringing her to the shelter where she’ll sit in a cage all day. When she feels safe, she is incredibly sweet. Whenever I go outside, she plants herself right next to me or on me. She loves to cuddle and get pets. She also loves to play and run around!

Story
This sweet boy wandered into our yard. He was scanned for a microchip and unfortunately does not have one. Our veterinarian estimates he is approximately 7–8 months old. He has received his rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, and dewormer, and had a veterinary exam. He is overall healthy, just a little underweight. He is an absolutely stunning dog with a light cream/tan coat that appears almost white in the sunlight, striking blue eyes, and a pink nose. Pictures truly do not do him justice. He is friendly, affectionate, eager to please, and already knows some basic commands, including sit. He walks well on a leash and has been very sweet with people. We would love to keep him ourselves, but we already have multiple dogs, including an adult male Belgian Malinois who does best as the only male dog in the home. Because of that, we are looking for a loving family, foster, or rescue that can give this young boy the attention and stability he deserves.

Story
My mother bought Piper from a breeder 4-5 years ago. She chose her because she was “cowering in the back of the cage" and she felt sorry for her. Piper has had anxiety issues which have never been properly addressed. On May 31st my mother passed away, and I was left to take Piper unexpectedly. She spends most of the day lying under my bed, she will not allow anyone to touch her, let alone bathe her, which I believe has led to the hair loss on her hind quarters. Though Piper has been through a lot recently, losing her best friend Maggie (my mother's other dog) in April, and then losing my mother, this isn't the cause of her anxiety issues. She hasn't let anyone touch her since she was a puppy, although I can see she wants to be touched. - I am disabled and do not have the energy or knowhow to properly care for her. I want Piper to have the best life possible but know I cannot do it.

Story
I found Scooby when he was about 7 months in New Orleans. He is currently about 5 years old and has been a beloved part of my family. He is a sweet, loyal, affectionate, and gentle companion who loves being around people. Some words I would use to describe him are friendly, loving, playful, intelligent, and well-mannered. He enjoys walks, hiking, cuddling, car rides, naps and has a wonderful personality that brings joy to those around him.I am looking for a safe, stable, and loving home where he will be treated as a cherished member of the family. Ideally, his new home will provide him with plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I would love to find someone who has the time and commitment to give him the care and companionship he deserves.Making the decision to rehome him has been incredibly difficult, but due to severe medical conditions, I can no longer provide the environment that is best for either of us.

Story
Bailey is a loving dog. We got him when he was about a year old and have had him for about 5 years. He is very playful and affectionate. He plays well with our other dog but has shown some anxiety towards or neighbors big dogs. We would love to keep him but after having our first child he has shown a hard transition to the change in the home. He has always done well with my young siblings but he has started to show aggression towards my toddler. I believe he would do best in a home with no kids or older kids. He also developed a fear for fireworks. He is a healthy boy, but does have anxiety towards fireworks and the vet. He requires medication to help him calm for vet visits. Other than that he is a very loving dog. He just needs more attention and for my son’s safety he unfortunately needs a new home.
