Story
Tater is 2 year old bunny in a bully dog body and even though we've had him since he was a puppy, my senior dog has decided he is not welcome. We know Tater's mom was a medium-sized blue Frenchie, based on his appearance and goofiness we're guessing dad was a fence jumping boxer-type dog. He's about 55lbs, fully vetted, crate trained, loves his other dog friends, respects the cats if they stand their ground, but will chase if they run (won't hurt them, just annoy them). He will jump a fence, he gets that from his daddy. He's been great with kids thus far, but he does bounce like a boxer, so maybe older kids are best. Tater is also currently a blood donor and I'd love for his new family to continue this service. By being a blood donor every 2 months he gets his annual vet care, food, and preventatives covered. I have not come to this decision lightly; he is a loved member of the family, and I'm heartbroken that my senior dog has decided he can't share our home.

Story
Coach is an 8 year old sweet heart. We adopted him from a rescue when he was 4 months old and have loved him ever since. We need to rehome him because our lives have been turned upside down recently and we can no longer give him the care he deserves. He loves people, but also doesn't mind his independence. He is an inside dog, but loves the outdoors. He is good with kids and dogs. He is housebroken and understands commands like stay, no, sit, roll over. He always waits for permission before going through any doorways to bedrooms or to go outside. He does not like a crate and does much better when left to roam the house (or outside) without one. He doesn't bark much either. Only when he hears a vehicle or sees a strange person come into the yard.

Story
Violet is roughly one year old. We rescued her when she was about 3 months old from a parent that neglected her. She is high energy, loves to play, and she is a lover when she calms down. As a couple, we struggle to get her to settle at most points of the day. She does well if only one of us is present with her, so we believe she is better suited with one parent. She gets anxious in vehicles so we have not been able to socialize her much, but she has had some playdates with another dog in our family and a dog of one of our friends, and she does well in those interactions. She loves to snuggle and we love her so much, but we feel that we are not a great match. We hope to find a loving home where she can live her best life.

Story
I got her in New Mexico with my boyfriend at the time, when she was eight weeks old. then three months later I had to pack everything up and move back to Florida with my mom due to domestic abuse. I tried to keep her but I'm unable to keep her any longer. My mom's German Shepherd doesn't like her and we've tried to get them use to each other. but nothing has helped. its hard to keep them separated, and unfair that one or the other has to be locked up while the other is out. She needs a home that she can be out and able to play with either other dogs or kids. I'm unable to give her what she needs at the time and just want a good home that can give her what she needs.  She's ten months old, and is very sweet, hyper, and playful. she does well with kids, cats, and other dogs. she loves walks and being able to run. She's doesn't like water, due to not being around it much. She loves to cuddle and sleep next to her person at the end of the bed.

Story
Adopted from ACPS. She was already returned due to allergies after being adopted as a puppy. She would do best in a home without cats or other small animals. She is good with my male shepherd and 8 year old. She tries to constantly attack my cats. Just turned a year old in February loves to cuddle and be by your side.

Story
About a year and a half ago, this handsome boy named Henry captured an elderly woman's heart at the Marion County Animal Shelter. She took him home for a trial adoption and fell completely in love with him. His energy was hard to match, but with long walks, professional training, and some wonderful play days at Red Fern Pet Lodge, Henry has been a wonderful companion. Sadly, the owner's recent fall resulted in a broken wrist that required surgery, and the injury has changed everything. As she struggles to recover and care for herself, she can no longer safely handle a strong, energetic dog. Henry is a black Lab mix, weighs around 55 lbs, and is approximately 3½ years old. He is up to date on all vaccinations and has been neutered. Because Henry's owner wants to ensure he has the best possible start in his new home, she is willing to provide a credit at a local pet supply store and/or a licensed veterinarian to help offset some first-year expenses.
