Story
Rusty is a 4 year old, neutered male, mixed breed dog, about 60 lbs. I am fostering him following the death of my mother, who adopted him as a 6 month old puppy and has been his only owner. Unfortunately, nobody in the family can keep him. Rusty is a well behaved dog generally, but has tons of energy. He prefers being an only dog, and having dog friends he can play with. He wants to be the focus of his person’s attention and not share the spotlight with other dogs in the home. He’s very energetic and is used to getting 2-3 walks a day. He loves dog parks. He lived in town with my mom and is used to walking on a leash in public. He’s sometimes wary around people he doesn’t know, and is scared of loud trucks and other loud sounds like gunshots and fireworks, and he’s easily distracted by squirrels. Otherwise he’s friendly and easy going. He loves car rides, walks and hikes in the woods, and wading in streams. Indoors, he likes cuddling on the couch or chewing on toys. He's a sweet boy.

Story
Tilly is a sweet girl, and she’s been here too long! She loves being outside and going on walks with her favorite people (which is anyone willing to give her attention!) She plays great with her yard mate, Stanley, and gets along great with other dogs! She also is good with cats. Tilly loves children and thinks they make great playmates, as they match her energy! She’s just as snuggly as she is playful and her favorite thing in the world is BELLYRUBS!!

Story
Zeva is a 7-8 year old cattle dog mix. She is a rescue dog that came from down south. We believe she was about 1.5 years old when we adopted her. Not much is known about her first year and a half of life, except that she had a litter of puppies at one point. She is an incredibly sweet and loyal dog and it breaks our hearts to let her go, but my husband and I had a baby a little over a year and a half ago and she has struggled with the adjustment. Zeva would thrive best in a home with no children or other pets. She is extremely smart, a quick learner, and is quite obedient (knows sit, stay, down, come, paw, bed, etc.). She is reactive to unfamiliar dogs (pulls and barks at end of leash, whines and shows signs of stress). That being said, she does have other dogs friends and does great with them, but it took very careful introductions to get her comfortable with them. She loves running around and playing but also equally loves curling up on the couch and cuddling or sunbathing outside.

Story
Taco is a 7-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. We adopted him from a Colorado shelter six years ago, and he has been a loving, loyal, goofy member of our family.Recently, Taco nipped our toddler after our child crawled into his bed while he was resting. Thankfully, the injury was minor, and we recognize the situation could have been prevented with better management on our part. After much thought, we believe rehoming him is the safest decision for both Taco and our family.Taco loves belly rubs and being with his people. Whether relaxing at home, going for walks or hikes, or playing in the water, he's happiest by your side. He is house-trained, has good recall, and can be hit or miss with other dogs due to some social awkwardness. He also has anxiety triggered by loud noises like fireworks, large trucks, and backup beepers.Taco would do best in a quiet home with adults or older, dog-savvy children who respect his space. He is a wonderful companion with so much love to give.

Quick Facts Age: 5-6 months old Kids: will do great with kids Dogs: will do great with other dogs Cats: will do fine with cats Training: needs full obedience training 1. My siblings and I were dumped on a rural road left to fend for ourselves and suffer. Thankfully someone kind picked us up and brought us to the best rescue. 2. My mix breed is a mystery! I have some Shepherd-like features but a smaller body and a little wiggly nub tail. Wouldn't it be so cool to do a DNA test and see what I'm mixed with? 3. I'm just a baby and know nothing, nada, not one ounce of civilized doggy behavior. I need a patient adopter to teach me house & crate training and eventually give me a PHD in obedience skills. 4. I will get along with anyone and everyone. If you have kids, dogs, cats, turtles, chickens, or a crabby neighbor, my good looks & fun-loving personality will make every heart melt! 5. If you are ready to commit to 10-15yrs of love, laughter, puppy kisses, the occasional muddy floor, loyalty, and adventure - I'm your guy! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY!
