Story
Louie is a sweet, lovable, and loyal dog. He loves to play with his ball, go on hikes/walks, and sniff! He is highly intelligent and loves to train and is food motivated. Louie would do well with someone who has experience with training dogs. He does experience separation anxiety from being a rescue that we have been working on daily. Louie would be great with someone who understands positive reinforcement and is willing to take the time to help him learn. He has been doing wonderful in his obedience classes. He needs patience, love, and care! He is 1 year and 9 months! We adopted him from a shelter and have fallen in love. We were told that he would be good with cats as we have 2 cats. Unfortunately, Louie gets excited by the cats, even with constant training. It is difficult to manage all of their interactions. A vet recently prescribed him medication to help with his anxiety. Otherwise he really is a sweetie. He loves to be cozy with his people!

Story
Unfortunately Jack very recently tried to nip Rosemary, our 6 month old baby. I've always monitored the dogs very closely around Rosie and I have not seen this behavior before from Jack. After discussing this with my wife, we feel uncomfortable keeping Jack in the home with Rosie and unfortunately we feel we have to give him up. We would prefer not to separate Jack and Buddy (please see Buddy's post) because they get along very well, and hope they go to a good home together. However, for Rosie's safety we're willing to only surrender Jack if we have to. They are both house trained and create trained, and very much enjoy cuddling. Jack is a true couch potato but does enjoy going on short walks. He has never shown any aggression towards anyone other than this one time. He has been around older children before and always been very well behaved. Jack listens very well to verbal commands. They love camping and RVing.
