Meet Willy! He’s a goofy, 3.5-year-old, 60 lb mutt with a huge heart. I rescued him as a puppy, but med school has left me without the time he deserves, so I’m searching for an active family who can give him the enriched life he needs. Willy loves tug-of-war and rough play, and he’s lived happily with a shepherd/lab mix for 1.5 years. He’s great with kids and a total cuddler, on the couch or in bed. He’s house-trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He walks well on a leash and responds to a tone/vibrate remote collar. Once he’s settled, he naps on the couch while you’re out, or rests in a kennel. He may sniff out an open trash can, but toys keep him busy. Honest note: Willy has some separation anxiety in new places and may bark or cry when first left alone. Within a couple of weeks he’s comfortable on his own. Best fit: an active home, ideally with a playful dog buddy. Kids welcome! Apply if Willy sounds like your new best friend!

Best for her to be the only dog in the household. She is food aggressive with other dogs. She is currently living with a 2 year old child, 2 other dogs and 2 cats and is fine around the kid and cats when eating.

Story
This is Koa. She’s 7 years old (DOB 1/28/19). We adopted her when she was a puppy and she’s been with us ever since. She is a herding dog and tends to nip/jump when she gets excited but has never truly bitten anyone or broken skin. However, we have a 3 year old in the house and are worried for our daughter’s safety as she gets older and more rowdy. Koa has been fine around her so far but she is very protective and honestly should not be trusted around kids. We do have another dog that she is fine around. She really is the sweetest dog but has a lot of anxiety and energy. There is a picture of the DNA test we did when we got her. She is spayed and microchipped. House trained, knows commands, and has an awesome recall. She is up to date on her rabies vaccine. We think she would do best on a farm or at least somewhere with land. We are planning on keeping her until we can find the right home. If you’re interested please reach out and we can set up a meeting!

Story
This is Koa. She’s 7 years old (DOB 1/28/19). We adopted her when she was a puppy and she’s been with us ever since. She is a herding dog and tends to nip/jump when she gets excited.
