Story
Smudge was adopted from the KC Pet Project late January. I was informed upon adoption that he has reactivity issues with other dogs. Unfortunately he is a bit more than I can handle, as he also has moments of overexcitement where he will jump and nip at me and my partner. He also is a bit picky about his space and will growl if we move in his vicinity when he's laying down. He barks very loud on car rides. I've put him through some reactivity classes and he's responded well to training and is somewhat good at walking outside if we keep a certain distance from triggers. He's working on quite a few tricks. He's very food motivated and is gentle when taking treats. When he's invited for a cuddle he is a very loving dog. He doesn't complain about getting his nails clipped. He has good traits and I don't think he's a bad dog at all, just came from a rough background, but he definitely needs someone experienced in a household without kids or pets.

Story
My name is Kiara and I am a very sweet girl. I’m almost 3 and I can do the basic commands. I’m potty trained and crate trained. I weigh 85 lbs. and I love people! I’m looking for a new home because when my family adopted me, both parents were working from home four days a week. Now they’re both back in the office more, so I’m alone all day. I love to go on long walks and play with my toys. I’m up-to-date on all my shots and vet visits. I spent some time in the pound, so I take trazodone for anxiety. I think I could get it off it if I find the right home. Please reach out if you’d like to meet Kiara. We’re asking $100. This includes her dog beds, crate, and toys.

Story
Manny is roughly 2 years old. He came from a shelter so we don't know much. By his behavior I don't think he was inside a house much. He is crate trained and housebroken. Manny will come and get you when he needs to go out. He loves cuddles and snuggles. Manny has somehow gotten the impression that he is a lap dog and will lay across your lap on the sofa to get loves. He likes walks and does pretty good on leash. Manny doesn't lunge or pull after the first couple of walks. The problem is we can't keep him in the yard and when he gets out he won't recall and come to you. We have to wait for him to get tired and come home on his own. Because he will be a flight risk we recommend leash walks only for the first month or so to get him used to his new home.

Story
Vlad has been with our family for almost a year - we adopted him and were told he probably 5 years old..so 6 now. He is quiet/rarely barks, listens and is eager to learn and please. He is playful and enjoys playing fetch with a jolly ball. We have other dogs all around us currently and he is the only one who doesn't bark at them, run ti the fence when they're out. He has no issues with cats. We have a few rambunctious elementary school aged children that he is great with. He is good with baths, nail trims..really anything. We have taken him to public events where he was perfect and had a bunch of strangers come pet him - he also loves car rides. He is kennel trained but can be left out..hasn't chewed anything up but will get in trash if it is left out with him.

Story
Sweet Maize (May-zee) needs a lot of attention. Adopted her from a shelter and have worked on her anxiety issues. She has come a long way She is good with cats and MOST dogs. One of our dogs is high energy and prone to aggression toward her. She deserves a safer space than we can provide. She exhibits PTSD-like behavior and needs a calm place with a regular routine. She is wary around men, and it takes a long time for her to accept them around.. She will not hurt kids, but the activity level may be a challenge for her. She needs a very patient female around willing to get her integrated into a new environment. She does okay on field trips with her person. Regular outings to regular places helps. She has been here over a year, and we’ve learned her needs and her challenges. I will be picky about placement, and rehoming will be with the agreement that if she is not a good fit, she is returned to us (not a shelter) as we try again. Fee includes crate etc. so she has familiar items.

Story
This is Koa. She’s 7 years old (DOB 1/28/19). We adopted her when she was a puppy and has been with us her whole life. She is a herding dog and tends to nip but has never truly bitten anyone or broken skin. However, we have a 3 year old in the house and are worried for our daughter’s safety. Koa really should not be trusted around kids but has been fine around other dogs and cats. She really is the sweetest dog though just has a bit of anxiety and is very protective. There is a picture of the DNA test we did when we got her. She is spayed and microchipped. House trained, knows commands, and has an awesome recall. She is up to date on her rabies vaccine. We think she would do best on a farm or at least somewhere with land. We are planning on keeping her until we can find the right home. If you’re interested please reach out and we can set up a meeting!
