He needs space to move and does best in a calm, structured environment. He has shown aggression, including biting a young child and injuring cats, and does not do well with other animals or children. Story
My daughter is a meth addict, recently evicted and living in her car, who dumped 6 cats and a young puppy (maybe 6 months) on me (her mother). She is not coming by my house to feed, water, or care for the animals and they are starving. I have pets of my own and do not have the means to take on her cats or Daisy, considering I'm already fostering her 8 year old son. I will turn 63 in October, work full time, and now find myself back in a "parent" position. As she has abandoned these animals at my home, I am choosing to relinquish them so that they can find a loving home. Daisy is very sweet but has had no training. She can be high energy because of her living conditions (always in a kennel or at the end of a chain).

Story
Ollie is a very sweet energetic boy who loves his people. He does ok with other dogs females preferably. Cats he's been a little rough with and won't leave them alone. Keeps chasing them. So I would like to find him a home without cats or someone who knows how to work with a dog around cats. He loves to run. He needs someone who has time to possibly run and play with him. He needs to keep his brain active. He is a strong boy and can be stubborn but he loves with all his heart. He is housetrained and he sleeps on the bed or his doggy bed at the end of our bed. I will send everything I have for him

Story
Roscoe, 3.5 years old 95lbs, neutered, Great Pyrenees mix (his mom was a mutt). Was born on a farm, used to being outside the majority of the time. He hasn’t been around goats/chickens very much so I’m not sure how he would do but anyone would be welcome to trial him out. He was not reactive when we took him to a friends farm with chickens. He’s been kennel trained but he doesn’t like it and I have a special kennel cause he can break through the wire ones. He’ll pretty much pant the whole time, so short periods are fine, but longer periods I gave him an anxiety pill otherwise he’d be wet from his saliva/panting. He’s great with little kids, loves female dogs, doesn’t love larger male dogs. He has high anxiety if he is inside or in an enclosed space without someone (he will try to rip down a door). But 90% of the time really is just chill. He is lovingly referred to as a gentle giant by friends. He loves to be pet and will snuggle with you on the couch or bed if you bring him Inside

Catahoula Leopard Dog Mutt

Independence, MO
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
We brought her home from the shelter in October 2017, when she was about 4 months old. She was a great dog. Gentle and playful with the senior dog we had until 2021, and gentle with our cats. She used to be generally well behaved with our cats besides chasing them if they would run. Otherwise she just liked to chew them like a corn cob. Unfortunately, she has become randomly aggressive to the cats over the the past couple years. She will snap at them with no warning and has caused serious harm. I have had to keep her in a spare bedroom for the majority of the time. I also started her on Prozac in hopes her demeanor would be more chill. I love her and want her to be happy but I can't provide what she needs - a home without cats and a human that will cuddle her, play, and give her quality attention. She has done great with 3 stranger dogs I've brought over in the past, so im assuming a home with other dogs will be good. She probably needs a dog friend and I won't get another dog.

Story
Juliet, a little over a year old, is a mixed-breed dog. She was adopted from KC Pet Project when she was just two months old by a family member of mine. Sadly, they had to give her up, so I took her in. But, because of money and housing issues, I can’t keep her anymore and still give her the wonderful life she needs. I’m hoping someone who knows how to work with shelter dogs will be interested in her. Juliet has a lot of anxiety, so she needs a lot of love and patience to keep training her. She knows how to sit, lay down, come, and is still learning to walk on a leash. She’s very silly and sweet, but a bit shy with new people and animals, so it’s best to start with calm introductions. Once she feels comfortable, she loves to be petted and has lots of spots that make her leg shake. She enjoys lounging around but also loves being outside and can be a great hiker! There’s so much to love and learn about her, and I’m sure she’ll find another family who will love her as much as I do.
