Duck was a stray and found 3mo ago by my daughter when she was living in another location. He was malnourished and skinny. She posted online in many Facebook forums trying to find the owner, with luck. She vetted him, made sure all medical needs were seen to and neutered him through the local Shelter voucher program. She has being trying to rehome him and has had to move back home with me (and my 13yr old dog that doesn’t tolerate other animals). Duck knows some basic commands & loves to play outdoors. He’s kennel trained, house broke & has a perimeter system. The vet doesn’t anticipate him getting much bigger, if any.

Hank “Williams” #25121; male; mix breed; estimated age 2 years; approximate weight 55lbs. Hank and several others found themselves on their own when the owners abandoned them without food, water, or shelter. He is currently undergoing slow-kill heartworm treatment. He is neutered and fully vetted. Hank has lots of energy and needs a safe fenced yard where he can run it off! The shelter is a STRESSFUL place and causes a lot of over stimulation in dogs. Hank can be selective with his playmates. Applicants will be required to have a meet and greet with family members and other dogs.

Harley #25273; male; blue heeler; estimated age 5 years; approximate weight 52lbs. Harley had lived with his dad since he was a puppy. He was loved and well cared for until his owner’s health failed and he could no longer care for him. This sweet boy came into the shelter just in time for Thanksgiving dinner! He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and wormer. He tested heart worm positive and is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment. He is asymptomatic and doing great. He is a little intimidated by the loud shelter, but is adjusting. He will make a great family dog.

AC #23293; male; mixed breed; estimated age 3 years; approximate weight 55lbs. The fact that this boy hasn’t been snagged up amazes me. He has been to numerous adoption events and is PERFECT in every way. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and loves all the attention and pets. He plays well with other dogs and responds positively to other dogs at these events. He is a great car rider and walks on leash. He is up to date on vetting; he is heartworm negative; he is neutered – this boy is the total package!
