Story
Willow is a very loving, well-behaved, and laid-back dog. She has never had an accident in the house and does not bark, growl, or cause trouble. She is very calm and easygoing. She does well around other dogs and is usually just curious and wants to sniff and play. She has never had issues with children or other dogs. We are unsure how she is with cats. Willow loves sunbathing, cuddling, and getting lots of love and attention. She is a very chill, lazy girl who would be happiest in a home where she can get plenty of companionship. Unfortunately, we recently welcomed a newborn and are also moving, and we can no longer give Willow the time and attention she deserves. This is a very difficult decision because she is such a sweet dog, but we want to find her a loving home where she will be cared for and treated like family. ❤️

Story
Casper is my 4–5 yr old 65 lb foster pup, and after years of waiting, desperately needs a family. Casper spent over a year in the WilCo shelter and was adopted and returned twice due to behavioral challenges. When he came to me, he had major trust issues after experiencing abuse and unstable, overstimulating environments. After a couple of years in foster care, he has made TREMENDOUS progress. He is sweet, funny, incredibly smart, playful, and so full of personality. He is now much more confident and trusting and enjoys hiking, swimming, and adventures. He does well with many dogs, especially females and smaller dogs, but needs thoughtful introductions and a home that understands dog boundaries. He is an active boy who needs an active family willing to provide plenty of exercise, structure, and mental stimulation. I am leaving the country when my lease ends this December and cannot take him with me. I am desperate to find him a loving forever home. Please help!

Story
Blue is turning 10 years old this summer. I’ve had him the whole time I have been in Austin. He is an absolute sweetheart and gets along with everyone. The main issue is he requires a very strong crate because he does not like the crate. If you choose to adopt Blue, we will provide you with a High Impact crate that has a 10 year warranty (now 9 years). Unfortunately we are moving and he will be too difficult to take with us. We need to find him a new home in the next week or two.

Story
My neighbor is almost 80 and was admitted to a nursing home a couple months ago after a hospital stint that saw his dementia get much worse after a sepsis diagnosis from viral pneumonia. He's now not able to live alone and because of that i'm taking care of his dog, Biggin', but my dog is a male too and while they tolerate each other, it's not a great fit. Biggin is a ~7 or 8 year old mutt that i helped my neighbor adopt from the Austin shelter 3 years ago. He's a great mix of qualities, he can zoom around happily outside, walks great on a leash, only barely barks when someone knocks but otherwise silent. Great with kids and all people and not cat aggressive and has never had an accident in the house. Crate trained. He's probably 27lbs. He's adorable and i would 100% keep him if it weren't for my curmudgeon 10 y/o male akita who is patient but not friendly with him.

Story
Beesly is a 6 y/o sweetheart looking for a very special, experienced home. She came to me young, with a history of trauma, & while she has made so much progress, she needs a calm, structured environment where she can feel safe and secure. She must be the only pet in the home and is not safe around kids or other animals. She can be reactive and aggressive towards dogs, animals, & unfamiliar people, so her adopter will need to understand & respect her boundaries. Visitors should give her space & allow her to approach on her own termsOnce she trusts you, Bees is incredibly loving, loyal, & wonderful company. She loves sunbathing, lounging on the couch, outdoor adventures, watching sports, & -above all- food (her counter-reaching skills are impressive!) She's slowing down with age but still has plenty of personality & love to give. She would thrive with someone experienced, patient & committed to giving her the safe, peaceful life she deserves. We love Beesly girl, she's the best! (:
