Story
Levi, I adopted Levi about 9 months ago from private owner who had Levi snd a Yorkie. They had a baby and had no time for the dogs anymore. I wanted the Yorkie because I have always had yorkies and one of mine died. The owner adopted out the Yorkie so that left Levi.. I have never had bigger dog but I thought I would try to save him from the shelter. Since then my old Shitzu and little Yorkie got illnesses. I also have a severe back injury and I can’t afford or manage all the dogs. I am 76 years old and I need to find a good home for Levi. The owner said he was 8 when I adopted him so pushing 9 now. He is healthy, loves to walk and would make a good companion for a man or women, couple. Fenced yard preferred. Levi is indoor dog. He has nice crate he sleeps in, and very good with my dogs. I hate to take him to a shelter he has always lived in a nice home. I am in lots of pain with my back and can’t bend without pain. I am praying someone will give him a try. Up to date all shots.

Story
Padfoot was adopted from the Wilco Animal Shelter when she was just 4 months old in September. She is now 8 months, and is such a puppy. She loves cuddles, tug-o-war, and anything she can chew on. However, with my schedule, I can’t give her the time to play. So… if you have the time/ energy to take care of a puppy, she’d be happy to have you as her family.

Size

Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Charlie is an older dog, about 12 years old and is a cross breed between a German shepherd and a Labrador. She is very smart and learns quickly. She adopts to any adult and children but works and listens to adults better than children. She loves to have her belly rubbed. Charlie is food jealous and doesn’t like to share her food with other pets. She is also very protective of the house and will bark but will not bite. Her ideal home would need to have a yard and access to inside since she is an inside dog that is trained. She loves the outdoors and loves to run but will not run at other dogs and will not bark while being walked. Very well trained when walking outside. She is very loyal that first she will wait by the gate, rain or shine, waiting for her owner. With trust she will learn to trust new owner and responds very well to snacks and food. She loves to be taken for rides and at times will not want to get out of the car but peanut butter will do.

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Story
We rescued Mocha from the euthanasia list. Shed just given birth to pups and was sad bc they were taken away. We already have 2 Pitt rescues, and hoped she’d fit right in. She does get along with them, but she’s been having difficulty with her place in the pack. She isn’t listening, is starting to have accidents on the tile, & cries when the other dogs get walked. She’s jumping on us and gets very excited and riled up when she sees any small dogs bc she thinks they’re her pups. Mocha is super sweet and very affectionate. She loves cuddles and will climb on top of you to snuggle, but she’s also very excitable, and she needs self control. She needs a disciplined home. Our other dogs are laid back and go hide when Mocha gets excited, but when Mocha is alone with us, when the other two dogs are out of the house, she perfect; No jumping, great with company, obedient, and just an all around great dog. Shes also kennel trained and has no issues there. A one pet home would be ideal.

Stray Senior (Walter)

Mutt

Male, Senior
Austin, TX
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Stray dog (been calling him Walter) was found in the heat of late August standing in the middle of the road. He was completely heat exhausted and seemed disoriented. Has been cared for for 2 months, but there are two additional pets in the house and although he is good with them, he needs special care. He is a senior and has severe skin allergies, is mostly blind and deaf, and seems to get separation anxiety at night -though melatonin supplements has eased that a bit. He is good natured and if taken out regularly is potty trained. Need to find a permanent home where he can get the care he needs and live out the rest of his days.
