Story
Kolfax is a great protector! He has spent the last 12 years on average where he can roam. I have had him since he was a puppy, but we are relocating and I am unable to bring him with us. I am looking for someone who can bring him into their family and love on him in his remaining years. He went to the vet last week and got a healthy check-up and an updated rabies shot, along with other vaccines. He loves his owners, but you must be careful with strangers as he is very apprehensive/aggressive to people who come onto your property. However, he is a saint out in public. Looking to find him a home quickly as we are having to re-locate. Thank you in advance!

Story
Meet Rocket, the adorable little pup! Hes the only one in his litter, so he gets all the love and attention from his caring mom and dad. His mom is gentle, while his dad is a ball of energy. Rocket has been pampered and loved for the past three months, enjoying snuggles, naps, and following you around out of curiosity. Hes playful and full of life, but unfortunately, I already have two dogs and a busy schedule that doesnt allow me to give him the attention he deserves.

Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Goshe is a mixed breed, female, rescued dog we adopted 8 years ago. Vet guessed she was about 2 when rescued and had probably come out of a pack situation. My wife is now in memory care, so I am alone and it has become harder for me physically to take care of Goshe. She is on 2 medications daily for a liver problem: Denamarin and Ursodiol. She is friendly around people, but unpredictable around other dogs, especially males, so I avoid dogs. She is afraid of storms, especially thunder, and is also afraid of loud noises like thunder. When afraid she paces or wants to be next to you but will not stay still and cannot be calmed. Vet told us it is safer to restrain her in an area where we are until the she settles down, which is what I do. She pulls when walked with her nose to the ground. I walk her in the morning and late afternoon, and take her out to pee after lunch, after dinner and before bed. She usually does her pee business quickly in the area around the door.

Bolt

Mutt German Shorthaired Pointer

Male, Adult
Henrico, VA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Bolt is a loving and loyal companion looking for a patient and understanding forever home. This special dog deserves a chance at happiness with someone who understands their needs and can provide a stable, structured environment. Personality Once he meets you he'll just want to follow you around and crawl into your lap and snuggle. Though he struggles with some human and pet interactions, he forms deep bonds with the right people. Bolt thrives in a calm, consistent environment where he can feel safe. Special Considerations Experienced owner required: Given Bolt's bite history with cyclists several years ago and a small dog this year, he requires a confident, experienced adopter who can provide structure. Secure environment: A fenced yard is needed to give him a safe space to play and relax. Other dogs: He can get along with other dogs if they have the right personality and fit and meet slowly, like a large submissive dog. You could be the one to give him a second chance.

Kobe is a 8 year old hound/lab mix. He has bouts of energy and laziness and loves to cuddle closely. He is leash trained and knows all basic commands (sit, lay, stay/wait, come). He is not crate trained. He can and will jump a 4 foot fence so he will need a yard with a 6 foot fence OR daily walks to get his energy out. He is very food motivated, intelligent and easy to train.

Story
Dudleigh is a silly, goofy, snuggly, love bug. We have had her for over 5 years, but she unfortunately she no longer gets along with our senior dog and we cannot accommodate both of them any longer. She is crate, muzzle, and e-collar trained. I have also done extensive obedience and reactivity training with her at a training facility with experienced dog trainers. She loves to cuddle, play with balls, chew on bones, go for walks, and sleep. She needs to be in a single dog home due to her reactivity. If you have any questions, want more information or photos/videos, please feel free to reach out. I love Duddy with my whole heart and it breaks my heart to have to rehome her, but I know she needs a better home to live in where she can be herself and not have to worry about reactivity.
