Chesterfield, VA

Details
Good with kids, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Phoebe is 10 years old but you wouldn’t know it. She is very active and loves to run. She does have some skin allergies. She is a master at cuddling. She does very well with people, she is quite social, always asking for pets. She does *not* do well with other small animals like cats, lizards, etc. We have had her for her entire life but we are longer able to keep up with her as our lives have changed. We are looking for someone that is able to allow her to run more freely.

Story
Bolt is a loving and loyal companion looking for a patient and understanding forever home. This special dog deserves a chance at happiness with someone who understands their needs and can provide a stable, structured environment. Personality Once he meets you he'll just want to follow you around and crawl into your lap and snuggle. Though he struggles with some human and pet interactions, he forms deep bonds with the right people. Bolt thrives in a calm, consistent environment where he can feel safe. Special Considerations Experienced owner required: Given Bolt's bite history with cyclists several years ago and a small dog a couple years ago, he requires a confident, experienced adopter who can provide structure. Secure environment: A fenced yard is needed to give him a safe space to play and relax. Other dogs: He can get along with other dogs if they have the right personality and fit and meet slowly, like a large submissive dog. You could be the one to give him a second chance.

Story
Dahli is an incredibly sweet and energetic girl. She’s a snuggle bug that needs lots of affection but she’s also happy to just be in the same room as you. She’s 8 years old and has been a huge part of our life. But now that we have a toddler we have had to come to the very difficult decision to let her go. This has been a heartbreaking decision, because she is truly such a good and loving girl. Dahli is very sweet but she is getting more and more grumpy as she ages, she has shown signs of reactivity to our son and because of her size we cannot justify keeping her if we have any doubt about her hurting him. She’s not a dog for a family, she’s a dog for an adult that wants a loyal and loving friend and companion. She’s great with our German Shepherd, so it’s possible she would get along with another dog but she is an “alpha” dog so it would need to be a docile dog that will not challenge her.

Story
Hi, I’m Bugle! I’m four years old, 23 pounds of pug mix personality, and I’m here to keep life lively. Now, let’s talk about me honestly—I’m not your average, easygoing pup. I’m spirited, mischievous, and bursting with energy. I’ve got a knack for finding creative ways to entertain myself, which sometimes means chewing up blankets, beds, or occasionally a cable cord. I’m still working on my potty training and guard my food. I’ll need a patient person who can help me learn better manners. I’m hyper, playful, and dramatic in the funniest ways—you’ll never wonder what I’m thinking because I’ll let you know. Here’s the thing: beneath all the chaos, I’m sweet. I love other dogs, I am good with kids, I enjoy snuggles when I’ve burned off my energy, and I’ve got a scrappy little face that makes people smile even when I’ve just caused a little trouble. I respond well to correction, and with consistency, I’ll thrive. My antics might keep you on your toes, but they’ll also keep you laughing. I’m neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and currently hanging out in Hampton, VA (though I can be transported out of state for the right home). If you’re looking for a dog who’s full of personality, who will challenge you, entertain you, and reward you with affection once you’ve earned my trust, I’m your guy. I’m not perfect—but I’m perfectly Bugle.
