Story
Meet Scooby – Your Loyal, Lovable Sidekick! Scooby is a compact powerhouse with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He thrives on love and attention—and prefers to have it all to himself. He’d do best as the only pet in an adult-only home where he can be the star. He’s the ultimate cuddle buddy and couch potato who’ll lounge with you for hours soaking up belly rubs. But he also has a playful side and loves racing around the yard chasing squirrels or rabbits. Scooby is smart, affectionate, and eager to bond closely with his person. A fenced yard is ideal to keep him safe during his adventures. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will be your shadow and your snuggle buddy, Scooby might be your perfect match!

Story
Bolt is a loving and loyal companion looking for a patient and understanding forever home. This special dog deserves a chance at happiness with someone who understands their needs and can provide a stable, structured environment. Personality Once he meets you he'll just want to follow you around and crawl into your lap and snuggle. Though he struggles with some human and pet interactions, he forms deep bonds with the right people. Bolt thrives in a calm, consistent environment where he can feel safe. Special Considerations Experienced owner required: Given Bolt's bite history with cyclists several years ago and a small dog a couple years ago, he requires a confident, experienced adopter who can provide structure. Secure environment: A fenced yard is needed to give him a safe space to play and relax. Other dogs: He can get along with other dogs if they have the right personality and fit and meet slowly, like a large submissive dog. You could be the one to give him a second chance.

Mutt American Staffordshire Terrier

Female, Adult
Amelia Court House, VA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Dahli is an incredibly sweet and energetic girl. She’s a snuggle bug that needs lots of affection but she’s also happy to just be in the same room as you. She’s 8 years old and has been a huge part of our life. But now that we have a toddler we have had to come to the very difficult decision to let her go. This has been a heartbreaking decision, because she is truly such a good and loving girl. Dahli is very sweet but she is getting more and more grumpy as she ages, she has shown signs of reactivity to our son and because of her size we cannot justify keeping her if we have any doubt about her hurting him. She’s not a dog for a family, she’s a dog for an adult that wants a loyal and loving friend and companion. She’s great with our German Shepherd, so it’s possible she would get along with another dog but she is an “alpha” dog so it would need to be a docile dog that will not challenge her.

Story
Lester is a huge sweetheart that loves to cuddle up to you on the couch. He also is very energetic, and will get the zoomies, so he likes to have a yard to run around in. He knows how to sit, stay, give you paw, and play fetch and tug of war. He is good with playing with kids and is not too rough. He is very friendly with just about everyone including the vet! There is no adoption fee for him. I unfortunately can't be home as much as needs me to, and can't pay for his allergy medication. I just want to find him a good and loving home.
