Story
Winnie is a sweet dog who loves hanging out in the backyard or on a couch. She has a strong nose and would be a great candidate for scent training. She loves to do a few zoomies around the yard and then lounge on a couch or in the dirt. Inside, she loves burrowing in blankets or sleeping on a big pile of blankets. She knows sit, lay down and come as long as a treat is rewarded. She is ok in a crate for a few hours and sleeps in there at night, but has a hard time being in there for long periods of the day. Her nose can sometimes get her into trouble but just needs someone to work 1:1 with her. She gets along with dogs, cat and kids but needs time to adjust. She gets excited with new people and tends to bark but isn't aggressive. Once the initial greeting is done she insantly wants to make a new friend. Overall, she would do with with a large yard and consistent routine where she can be the primary pet.

Seamus is a medium-sized Schnauzer/Terrier mix with a huge personality and energy to match! This handsome guy is friendly, outgoing, curious, and always ready to jump in on whatever his people are doing. Hiking? Absolutely. Biking? Let’s go! Exploring, training, adventuring, or just being part of the action? Seamus is in. He’s an incredibly fun dog for an active household and would love adult human companions who want a dog to actually do things with. He’s smart, enthusiastic, and happiest when he has somewhere to go, something to explore, or something new to learn. Seamus has also put in some work of his own. He previously had some difficulty with being crated, but with the help of his trainers, he has worked through it and is now crate trained. He’ll do best with people who enjoy continuing that progress through positive reinforcement, consistency, and clear communication. Seamus is sensitive to conflict, so a fair and thoughtful approach brings out the very best in him. He has done well with other dogs overall, although intact male dogs aren't his favorite, so dog introductions and friendships should be managed accordingly. Seamus isn't looking for someone to simply take him for a couple of walks around the block. He wants a life! He wants to get out, learn, explore, burn off some energy, and be included in the fun. If your idea of the perfect dog is an enthusiastic adventure buddy with personality to spare, Seamus may be exactly who you've been looking for.

Maisie is a 3 year old mixed breed who is looking for a new home. She recently had a big move across the country and has been unsettled in her new environment, which has caused some reactivity with the other dogs in her home. Since her environment cannot be changed to give her more time to settle, we are looking for a new loving home for her.Maisie is:• Cuddly, loving, and super soft• Very active and impressively athletic but can settled when home• Respectful and gentle with our 4-month-old infant• Housetrained, spayed, and microchipped• Friendly with many dog friends and typically gentle with little dogsMaisie gets a little nervous with new people (especially men) and scary objects like vacuums, but moves on quickly to cuddling and pets once she feels comfortable with a stranger. Rooster is a 2-year-old rescue from Texas a Doberman/Aussie/Catahoula mix! He is a total sweetheart who thinks he’s a lap dog and adores his family. People: When properly introduced, he has zero issues with friends and guests coming over. His reactivity is very specific to delivery/mail drivers, posturing intensely like he will attack. We tried weekly desensitization for a year with no progress. He requires a fenced yard or setup where drivers don't have direct access. Kids: Rooster is patient and loving with young kids (lives with a 2-year-old and 5-year-old). He is big and athletic, so when wound up wrestling or chasing a ball, he plays hard, and can knock toddlers over. He's fantastic with little ones for an owner who manages large, physical play. Energy: Rooster needs an active farm setting or a companion dog to run and wrestle with to burn off his high drive. Rooster has never bitten anyone. With a fenced property, he will be a amazingly loyal companion!

Loki is a lovable, energetic dog looking for a family who can give him the attention and adventure he craves. With a new baby, we've realized he deserves more time and activity than we can currently offer. Loki loves hiking, pets, and gets the biggest zoomies when he finds sand. He's incredibly affectionate and does best as the center of attention — he'd thrive as an only pet, with a family who wants to make him a priority. He's been great with our 2-year-old and interacts well with older kids too. Loki is a bit of a goofball — he'll bump into things or scramble, which always gets a laugh. He does best in a calmer household, with patient owners who understand he can be reactive to other dogs on leash and gets some separation anxiety (he just loves his people!). Loud noises can spook him, so a low-key, steady environment will help. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will stick by your side, Loki could be your perfect match.
