Story
Winnie is a sweet dog who loves hanging out in the backyard or on a couch. She has a strong nose and would be a great candidate for scent training. She loves to do a few zoomies around the yard and then lounge on a couch or in the dirt. Inside, she loves burrowing in blankets or sleeping on a big pile of blankets. She knows sit, lay down and come as long as a treat is rewarded. She is ok in a crate for a few hours and sleeps in there at night, but has a hard time being in there for long periods of the day. Her nose can sometimes get her into trouble but just needs someone to work 1:1 with her. She gets along with dogs, cat and kids but needs time to adjust. She gets excited with new people and tends to bark but isn't aggressive. Once the initial greeting is done she insantly wants to make a new friend. Overall, she would do with with a large yard and consistent routine where she can be the primary pet.

Story
Sabrina is a 6-year-old Northwest Farm Terrier with the sweetest soul and just the right amount of pep. She came to us after her beloved owner passed away, and the two have been by each others side their entire lives. Sabrina is everything you want in a companion—friendly, fun, and an expert-level snuggler. Shes housebroken, well-mannered, and easy to live with. Whether its a short walk, some time in the yard, or curling up on the couch, she's happy just being with her people. She does great with other dogs and has lived with cats previously, although she has been known to chase outdoor cats so proper introductions are a must. She's also wonderful with children and is a total go anywhere, do anything sort of pup.

Story
Maggie may be 11, but don't tell her that—shes far too busy ripping around the yard with her signature zoomies and soaking up every bit of life she can. This sweet Northwest Farm Terrier came to us after her beloved owner passed away, and she's been nothing but a bright, happy presence ever since. Maggie is the best kind of easy: she loves people, does great with kids, and other dogs, and settles in quickly wherever she lands. She's got a little arthritis that shows up on stairs, but otherwise it doesn't slow her down one bit—she's still playful, spunky, and ready to be part of the action. When Maggie first arrived, she had some skin issues that left her uncomfortable and a little patchy—but with good care and some TLC, her coat is growing back beautifully and she's feeling so much better. You can see the difference in her—she's lighter, brighter, and clearly enjoying herself again. If you're looking for a dog who proves that age is just a number—and who still has plenty of joy, love, and zoomies left to give—Maggies your girl.

Azuki

Akita Mutt

Male, Young
Seattle, WA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Azuki is originally from Iowa. He is still a baby by Akita standards (1.5 years), but is also already very intelligent. He knows sit, lay down, roll over, shake, stand ("up" command) and touch (licks your hand), and is working on heel and come. Azuki loves the outdoors, so he would do well with an active owner. He does have a lot of energy, so training classes, outdoor adventures, and/or enrichment games would really make him happy. He LOVES to cuddle, so he needs an owner who will hug him frequently and let him sleep near them. He does talk back sometimes, but is overall a Good Boy and would thrive in an active, affectionate environment. He's silly (he likes to loaf like a cat), opinionated, smart, and loving. Since he is independent, he would do best with an experienced owner, especially one who knows about confident breeds. He might also benefit from having a friend if you already have a dog.
